My guide Jamie was willing to meet me at the airport instead of downtown. We visited her hometown of Bedok. I had a chance to see how the locals live. I was just coming off a 23 day tour of Asia. It was so nice to see Bedok, but more special to me, experiencing it with a local and just having a good relaxing time exploring the town, eating new foods (for me at least) and a lot of chatting. Jamie is so a warm and personable. I felt so comfortable with her. It was a perfect way to end my journey of Asia.

Weibin was not well but someone else replaced him and it was seamless. I was picked up at my hotel and we took the bus and MRT around to the various places. From the Merlion to the old court house to Chinatown and the temples and Marina Bay, it was 3 hours of stories, good information and orientation. I am now ready to go back to some of these places for more discoveries.

Shake is extremely knowledgeable about Singapore history. His tour of the many ethnic areas and eating establishments frequented by locals was a great experience. Shake is very outgoing and conversation flowed very easily. The tour pace and stops were very flexible based on our preferences as the evening progressed. Make sure you start the tour hungry! Top marks, Shake!
