You’ll join one of our Cape Town hosts who’s a fellow oenophile (a fancy word for a wine lover) and sip your way around some of the oldest wineries in the country.

Here you’ll find perfectly maintained Cape Dutch buildings, vast, landscaped gardens with sweeping views of False Bay, museums, and of course, a selection of award-winning wines and fresh ingredients from delectable dishes grown and prepared right on the slopes of Table Mountain.

You’ll sample everything from Sauvignon Blanc to Shiraz and maybe even do a cellar tour or two to discover the journey from grape to glass.

One particular dessert wine has been produced for over 300 years and is mentioned in the writings of Charles Dickens and Emily Dickens and drank by Napoleon on his exile on St Helena island!

But history and wine tasting make for hungry work, when it’s time to refuel, your host can recommend a laid-back cafe or a fine-dining restaurant, whatever takes your fancy, where you can relax and chat to them about the unique history and diverse cultures that make up Cape Town - wine in hand, of course!
