Explore beyond the glitz of luxury boutiques to discover unique shops, chic cafes, spectacular modern architecture, and surprising art installations
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Join an insightful local host and work your way through the glamour of Ginza, the only place to be if you’re looking to show off in Tokyo. You could shop till you drop in mega-department stores like Wako, a luxury goods palace distinguished by an iconic clock tower, or you could splash out and savor some fine dining at The Grand 47, a modern take on classic Japanese cuisine.
Absorb some culture at Kabukiza, a playhouse where Ginza celebrates the ancient art of kabuki theater, or, if you’re tired of the excess, let your host lead you to hidden gems like Yurakucho Gado-shita, a diverse collection of tiny restaurants built under the Yamanote railway line, which serve up everything from fine French wine to cheap local street food.

Show moreAlberto was amazing, very knowledgeable. He showed us some really interesting, unique, and historic areas. We learnt a lot about the history of these areas as well. Can’t wait for our next adventure.
Show moreWe spent three hours today with Toskiki in Asakusa and at Skytree Tower. Although we are both over 65 and walk slowly he was patient and adjusted the tour repeatedly to accommodate us. He is knowledgeable and knows how to listen well. We would recommend him to anyone looking to tour Tokyo with a private guide.
Show moreWe loved Shoko!!! She’s pretty and talkative, extremely kind!
