Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
With a half-day to explore Hiroshima, why not begin with a ferry ride to Miyajima Island, where you’ll be able to visit the famed Itsukushima Shrine and the oldest temple in Miyajima, Daisho-in, built by one of Japan’s most famous monks. Also offering great views of the Seto Inland Sea, be sure to arrive with a fully charged camera. Cherry blossoms in spring and maple leaves in autumn also add to the magic of this famed temple site well worth exploring. Gallery Miyazato serves up traditional Japanese sweet sets that include the ultimate crowd-pleasers: Matcha and the famous Momiji Manju, perfect for an afternoon rest and a refuel in the inner garden.

We had a wonderful time with Yuka. She was an excellent guide and I would highly recommend her as a tour guide. Her English was excellent and she was so lovely. Thank you
Show moreWe visited an okonomiyaki restaurant. Yuka customized our order for vegetarians. She explained the difference between different momiji manju shops. We bought snacks and souvenirs. Lovely scenery by shrine and torii gate. We enjoyed how she explained difference between Shinto and Buddhist beliefs
Show moreKen was extremely communicative and helpful both before and after the tour. His English was excellent. Our trip to Miyajima was quite an experience, and ended up being quite an adventure as well. The trek to the peak of Mt Misen was arduous, as was the long walk down the mountain owing to the closure of the cable car. Despite this and both being in our 70s, we managed the trek assisted by Ken's good humour.
Show moreKaori is the guide you need. She exceeded expectations. We had delay issues getting off our cruise ship and Kaori adapted the tour for us as we were delayed by 2.5 hours starting the tour. We saw much more than expected (even a secret view)
Show moreKaori communication skills, her knowledge of Hiroshima, her ability to please people was excellent. We were on a cruise with a window of 8 hours to see Hiroshima and Miyajima unfortunately there was a delay of 2.5 hours with our disembarking and immigration procedures. Kaori was in touch with me via WhatsApp the whole time, adjusting her agenda for us. By the time we got off and met Kaori we had decided not to go Miyajima Island. So our itinerary was adjusted by Kaori and we visited the Memorial Museum, Atomic Bomb Zone, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, a secret viewpoint to see the seascape of Hiroshima (33 storey high), Shukkeien Gardens and finishing off with a late lunch of Hiroshima okonomiyaki …..it was delicious
Show moreMr Nozz is fluent in English and very friendly. he contacted after I booked the tour, and offered to meet us at our convenient location. highly recommended this very personalized tour to anyone who is right on schedule.
