What you’ll do

Explore ‘hipster haven’ as you weave through the streets of Woodstock with your host, a neighborhood whose Victorian houses and old docklands warehouses have experienced an urban revival of late. With your local Cape Town host by your side, the warm and creative spirit of the locale will no doubt shine through.

There’s a vibrant energy that flows through the streets and your host will open your eyes to the true nature of this ‘village in a city’ as you amble through the mural-lined streets with a coffee in hand (to blend in with the hipsters, of course).

You’ll visit the Old Biscuit Mill, the establishment many credit with kickstarting Woodstock’s revolution. On Saturdays, you’ll find an eclectic food market while during the week the vibe is more tranquil with its unique stores and coffee shops.

You can wander into artists’ studios, see provocative street art and stop by design-centered districts like the Woodstock Exchange. There’s never a dull moment here.

We had a great tour with Tafa. He is friendly and has good knowledge of the history of Cape Town and is a good storyteller. He drives a good car suitable for 6 persons. He takes his guiding task serious and we felt comfortable and safe. His English was good. We recommend Tafa if you are looking for a good guide or chauffeur.

Dieter was incredible! We had the absolute best time with him showing us around the city and we were never bored. So much to see in South Africa Cape Town and he took us to a lot of interesting places having to do with culture, shopping, architecture, food and more ! We really enjoyed getting to know Dieter too as he is a super interesting guy and very easy to instantly connect with. He also takes so many photos of you along the journey which are sweet ways to remember the day. We are already talking about the next time we come to Cape Town and we will definitely do another tour with him. If you book with him you are guaranteed to have a great time!
