Escape to Costa Brava for a day of lush gardens, hidden beaches, and medieval charm. Explore, relax, and savor the best of this stunning coastline!
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
It's always super fun to go to Barcelona. The sun, the sounds, the stunning architecture. But if you're in the mood for a beach getaway, then I can't recommend Costa Brava enough. Every stop is a picture-perfect postcard come to life! You'll kick things off at the Arc de Triomf, where the vibrant energy of Barcelona will set the tone for the day ahead. This spot isn't just a landmark—it's the gateway to a day packed with stunning views, hidden beaches, and medieval adventures. So grab your camera, and let's roll!
First up, you'll be heading to the lush wonderland of the Botanical Gardens in Blanes. Imagine wandering through a tropical paradise where every twist and turn reveals a new burst of color or a rare exotic plant you've never seen before. You'll have two hours to lose yourself in this floral fantasy, soaking up the Mediterranean vibes as you stroll along winding paths and maybe even stumble upon a few hidden nooks perfect for a quiet moment of zen. And don't forget to snap a selfie at the edge of the cliffs—those panoramic views of the coast are absolutely to die for.
Next, you're off to the secluded sands of Cala Bona, a beach that's so idyllic it might just spoil you for all other beaches forever. Picture this: soft golden sand beneath your feet, crystal-clear water gently lapping at the shore, and nothing but the sound of waves and the rustle of palm trees. Whether you want to stretch out like a starfish, dive into the refreshing sea, or just chill with your toes in the sand, this hidden gem is the perfect spot for a little R&R. Trust me, you won't want to leave.
But when it's time to refuel, your host has got you covered with a lunch stop at Restaurant Can Pini. This is where the magic of Catalan cuisine comes to life—think mouthwatering tapas, hearty mains, and maybe a cheeky glass of local wine to wash it all down. The rustic charm of Can Pini makes it feel like you've been invited into a local's home, where the food is crafted with love, and the flavors are bold, fresh, and oh-so-satisfying.
With your belly full and your spirits high, make your way to the medieval marvel that is Tossa de Mar. This isn't just any old village—it's a clifftop fortress straight out of a fairy tale, complete with ancient stone walls, narrow cobblestone streets, and panoramic views that will have you feeling like you've stepped back in time. Spend a couple of hours getting lost in its labyrinth of alleys, exploring the historic fortifications, and soaking up the lively local culture that pulses through this charming town.
And just when you think the day couldn't get any better, top it off with some free time at Playa Manuel Berasategui. This beach is like the cherry on top of an already perfect day—calm, serene, and with views that will make you never want to leave. Take a swim, relax on the sand, or just sit back and watch the sun dance on the waves as you gaze out at the medieval walls of Tossa de Mar. It's the perfect way to unwind and reflect on the incredible day you've had.
As you make your way back to Barcelona, the Arc de Triomf will welcome you back with open arms, its distinctive red-brick arch a familiar sight after a day of exploration. This is more than just a return to the city—it's the grand finale of a day filled with adventure, relaxation, and memories you'll cherish long after you've left the Costa Brava behind. So, ready for your next adventure?

Anna was a delightful and knowledgeable guide who brought Barcelona’s history to life. Even the rain couldn’t dampen her energy or the quality of the tour—highly recommended!
Show moreIt’s a great overview of all the highlights in 6 hours. Paul is an excellent guide- so knowledgeable and passionate about all the sights in Barcelona. He’s a wealth of information that made the sights more meaningful. We topped it off with a wonderful lunch and conversation. It was a great day . Thank you Paul!
Show morePau was incredibly knowledgable and friendly. We covered so much in 2 hours. We appreciated that Pau met us at our hotel with very little notice after something came up with our original guide.
Show moreAnna was flexible and full of information!
Show moreWe had a great time exploring the city and seeing lots of great things! Stopped for a great lunch and loved all the history she shared. Overall a wonderful experience!
Show moreWe were a little apprehensive about doing this as it is Unscripted (as the the tour suggests), but it ended up being planned out exactly to our tastes. Our guide took us around the El Born area, starting at the market with drinks and croquettes along with other foods to satisfy our Foodie tastes. We walked around El Born learning about the area, the culture and the traditions. We stopped at the original place for Los Pescatidos. We had Catalan dessert and Cava. I was quite impressed with this experience, especially not knowing what we were going to do and see. Would do it again.
