Národní třída, the beer history of Bohemia and six local brews.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Did you know you’re in the birthplace of Pilsner? Oh, you lucky thing. Bohemia’s beer-making reputation is world-famous, so it’s only right that you do some sampling while you’re here - just to see what all the fuss is about, you know?
You’ll join one of our local Prague hosts who can’t wait to show you the real beer culture of their city, which is a world away from any stag-party nightmares you may be picturing.
Together, you’ll wander (not stagger) between three independent breweries, sampling six different brews along the way. You’ll sip beers at the oldest micro-brewery in Prague, and learn a little about Bohemia’s beer history and the brewing processes - all in the name of history, of course.
From here, you’ll visit two other brewhouses - we recommend a visit to the Strahov Monastery Brewery, where they know a thing or two about the amber nectar having been brewing it since the 13th century.
Then try out unpasteurized and unfiltered lagers at Pivovar Bašta or visit Vinohradský Pivovar, where you can pick from five beers on tap and an extensive, rotating menu of craft brews. Pull up a pew, we reckon you’ll want to stay awhile here.

Martin was a great host. He shared god background on the beers we sampled and the history in the locations we visited. .
Show moreNatalia was great to work with as she gave me and my wife options of places to go and things to see. She knows both the history of Prague and the local knowledge. Prague is beautiful at night, and the Christmas Markets are worth it all by themselves. Long/short it turned into a delicious foodie tour!
Show moreMaki was a wonderful guide. He shared stories and historical facts as we wandered through the streets of Prague. The city was alive with people and music as also went to various Christmas Markets. I especially loved crossing the Charles bridge at night . Finally Maki made sure we could get back to our hotel explaining the various options. The tour was easy to book and I was regularly updated in the weeks leading up to our arrival.
Show moreMartin gave us a great first time experience touring Prague. His knowledge of all things Prague was exceptional and helped us emerge ourselves in Prague's history and people. He was very friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him.
Show moreNatalia was a lovely guide. She gave us a very good feeling for the city and its vibe. The hot ginger tea and the gingerbread we got was a bonus. We loved the fact that the guide was knowledgeable but so relaxed. It was like having a friend show you their city.
Show moreOurTour guide Martin was very personable and modified our tour to our liking. Seeing all the sites illuminated at night Is beautiful. It is a totally different experience than seeing them by day…definitely worth it.
