Had a guided tour with Adam Chay in Singapore. Thanks to efficient communication with Adam before the tour he was able to focus on the areas of the city that we weren’t otherwise visiting. This made for a very effective use of time as we took in Chinatown, Little India, Kampong Glam and other gems. Adam is extremely knowledgeable about the history and creation of Singapore and had answers for all of my questions during the 5 hours. You really get the sense of embedding yourself into the culture of Singapore and that’s surely why we all like travelling and visiting new places. Adam was first class, friendly, knowledgeable and good fun!

Adam took us in a 5 hour tour around Singapore. He is an extremely friendly and likeable guide who is highly knowledgeable about Singapore, its history and the details behind the key sites. These are hugely important factors to me, especially when travelling from another continent. Plenty of time is also allowed for rest, comfort breaks, food etc, creating a perfect environment for an excellent day of sightseeing.

This food tour was wonderful. Adam was a wonderful guide filled with knowledge about not only the food, but history and culture as well. We had great, authentic local food and learned so much! We left full and happy with our experience and enjoyed his company. Will definitely recommend him to anyone we know traveling to Singapore.

Fantastic guide with lots of insights and knowledge of the history of the city. Went to Chinatown and saw murals, temples, shops and beautiful building. Did the fountain and took pictures and then the river views and history of the area. Also the Fullerton hotel.

Jon is telling the story of Singapore, not only the official one bit also behinf the scenes. He is passionate and we interacted a lit ( I worked for Sungapore 3 years ago ). In addition , my wife was ill ( due to heat ) and he was caring about it.

Our group had requested for an “off-the-beaten path” tour and Jon delivered! We had a very eventful half-day learning about some of Singapore’s culture and recent history while receiving tips on how to spend the rest of our time in the city. Highly recommended guide!

We did a private tour with Jimmy and he was excellent! Contacted us well in advance to discuss our preferences (which was no seafood-a tall order in Singapore) We had a variety of delicious foods at a large variety of establishments. Jimmy is incredibly well-informed on Singapore and his experience and intellect go well beyond food. Warning: Singapore is HOT and HUMID so wear cool clothes and drink lots of water! This was the best private tour that I have taken. First, I was contacted by the tour company and provided with a questionnaire shortly after signing up for it. The questionnaire was relatively detailed and asked for my personal interests and what I would like to see. After completing it, I was contacted by Jimmy (my tour guide) a day or so later by WhatApp, who provided me with a draft itinerary. After discussion with him , we agreed to the final itineraries. It was great that I was matched with Jimmy as he was extremely knowledgeable about Singapore’s history and immersed me in the history and the growth of Singapore from 1960’s to the present (which was my interest). I would highly recommend this tour as they will tailor it to your interests rather than having a pre-arranged tour and a tour guide with just a script. I would highly recommend it to anyone who visits Singapore. In addition, I would like to thank Jimmy for his great work.

We loved the mix of food, history and architecture experience

ST was a kind and patient guide. Very knowledgeable about the food, temples, and hawker centers. Be prepared for communal settings without tables cleaned between diners. Plastic utensils can be a bit challenging/ineffective. While the food was good and varied, (Chinese, Indian, Malay, etc.), Bring your own napkins and wet wipes! Not provided.

ST was GREAT. He mixed in history and architecture as we walked and toured the area! He is quite knowledgeable about the food, the cultures and the history and mixed the tour well with delicious stops for local eats! A friendly and conversant guide. Well done ST!

Joanne really took the time to curate and extra special tour that went beyond my expectations

We recently went on a fantastic 3-hr food tour in Chinatown, Singapore , led by Joanne, a knowledgeable and engaging guide. The tour included visits to popular food centers such as Lau Pa Sat and Maxwell, where we sample a variety of local dishes like chicken,mutton and beef satay, Singapore chili crab, Hainanese chicken, rojak,popiah and pandan cake. Not only did we get to indulge in delicious food, but we also had the opportunity to explore cultural landmarks like the Thian Hock temple, Sri Mariamman HIndu Temple and the Buda Tooth Relic Temple. Our guide was not only informative but also accommodated our request, making the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to delve into diverse cuisines and learn more about Singapore’s rich heritage.

We found Joanne friendly and very accommodating to what we wanted to see and do while in Singapore. She provided stories and the history behind the sites we visited. Should we be back in Singapore we would not hesitate booking again and hopefully touring Singapore with Joanne.

Joanne was in contact with us right after we signed on for the tour. When she found out we were arriving on a ship she offered to meet us at the cruise port. We discussed the options and she guided us through the metro. She told us the history and the details of the stops. We tried a local sugar cane drink as well as a local cake..we had a dood walking pace to see as much as we could within out time frame. Should we be back in Singapore we would happily book again and be thrilled if Joanne was our guide. Many thanks; we leaned a lot and had a great time

Top tour - did it personally as a couple with a super star guide Stan. Plenty of food and a great lesson in local history. Useful way to start your stay in Singapore as it helps to understand how to get around (catch the train, how to eat cheaply)

My husband and I visited Singapore for the very first time in March. I reserved a 3.5 hour walking tour with a great guide named Stan. He corresponded with me prior to leaving the US in order to plan our trip. I felt comfortable asking him advice on other areas prior to arriving, and he was happy to provide the information. He met us right on time the day of our tour at our hotel. Together we used the Grab app which I downloaded prior to arriving in Singapore. This is Singapore’s Uber. We took our first ride to the Gardens by the Bay. Stan was so knowledgeable about every aspect of this beautiful garden area. He matched our pace for walking through the gardens. He wanted his clients to be engaged. After the Gardens, we took another Grab ride to Chinatown. Before walking through Chinatown, we went into a City Center area on the second floor where we saw a huge model of city of Singapore. It was so interesting to be able to see the entire city, by walking around this model. Highly recommend this stop. Next, we walked around this area until our time was up. He shared the history of the various temples, churches, and mosques. Stan is a very smart and enthusiastic guide! The perfect combination. We loved our time with him. We ended our day with a lunch. We enjoyed our time with Stan. He became our friend! Thank you, Stan.

Loved every minute of our Walking Tour

We sampled some of Singapore’s most delicious and authentic foods customized for our tastes (one omnivore, one pescatarian). Sharon really stood out for sharing the history of the Chinatown neighborhood, including old photos from many of the spots we visited. When she heard we hadn’t yet tried one of the most popular breakfast dishes, we made an impromptu stop for it, and she showed us some options at the hawker station which we came back to later that night. Fun tour with a passionate local resident!

Great experience with Sharon. She contacted us in advance and customized our day perfectly. Great introductions to local people and hawkers at the food venues. Even walked us back to our hotel. A perfect day!!

Sharon did a fantastic job with the tour today. She took us to many spots and we had a great experience. We loved the pictures she took of us and all the different local food that we tried.

Roy was wonderful from the time of booking through the entire experience. He took the time to meet us at our hotel rather than the original meeting point. He took us on a cultural experience through Chinatown, to the bay and to the market for a great lunch. My husband and I missed the Jewel at the airport and Roy was super flexible with our day and took us there. He also escorted us to the Gardens by the Bay. If we could take him on all of our travels we would - thank you Roy !!!!

We had a great tour with Jack! We took the subway to the first location and then made our way back to the hotel on foot ending with the water show at Marina Bay. Jack made lots of good suggestions and the food was amazing. It was nice to have someone to help us make a decision about the sea of options in front of us. It was a nice way to see the city and learn about the culture and I would definitely do it again.

Best personalized tour of Singapore. If you get matched with Liang, you’re in for real treat. He set up a detailed tour based on our interests and what we wanted to see and he delivered. He met us at our hotel ( you can change the meet up point if you’re staying in the city) and took us around from to every site we wanted to see and arranged all the tickets for any attractions ( you have to pay for certain attractions like a bum boat ride or entry to the Gardens by the Bay). The tour is totally customizable so you can do as little or as much as you want. We definitely would not have been able to get around the city and learn as much as we did and try as much food as we did with him. Thanks so much to our friend Liang.

Liang curated the perfect day in Singapore for us and we got to see everything on our list plus more. You can tell Liang is a proud Singaporean and takes pride in his work as tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about history, culture and food and even shared his own personal family history. It was a pleasure to spend the day with Liang and we can’t wait to come back to Singapore!
