The (in)famous neighborhood of St Pauli is gritty, dynamic, and known for its electric nightlife. With your local Hamburg host by your side, go boldly to the Reeperbahn, also known as ‘the sinful mile’.
Here, cozy restaurants and edgy bars are packed in between neon-lit sex shops. Delve beyond the red light district to discover the bar where The Beatles first performed, go to the Zur Ritze bar with an underground boxing ring where Mike Tyson and the Klitschko brothers have trained, and discover a street where women are not allowed to enter (outrageous, we know). You might even catch the tale of how a famous local boxer disappeared.
However, there is much more to St Pauli than its notoriety. We all have our own style of enjoying a night out, so it’s your call if you want to bar-hop down the longest party street in Europe or discover some unusual curiosities.
