Striking architecture, indulgent lángos and leafy boulevards.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
You will explore the cobbled streets of Budapest with one of our friendly local hosts, winding your way deeper and deeper into the heart of what makes this eclectic city so special. There’s something mysterious and romantic about Pest - the eastern part of the city - which might just woo you with its charm.
There’s a reason why people call it the Paris of the East! You’ll discover the secret spots and landmarks between the Central Market Hall (Nagycsarnok) and Heroes’ Square (Hősök Tere), an area with more than its fair share of striking architecture and recognizable landmarks.
Discover the Great Synagogue, St. Stephen's Basilica, the Hungarian State Opera, and the leafy Andrássy Boulevard. All of which is, of course, is made even more enjoyable with the knowledge that either you’ll be doing all of this exploring after indulging in some Hungarian delicacies like Chimney Cake and lángos - fried dough smothered with sour cream and cheese - at the Market, or a feast awaits you at the end of your experience!

We had a wonderful tour with a very professional and experienced guide. Balazs our guide did an excellent job of showing us his city. We visited many of the main sights and gained a good insight and feel of this very beautiful city.
Show moreA busy morning but very informative and we packed in many important & interesting sights of wonderful Budapest. The combination of walking, tram & train was great as we got to experience many areas around the city. We had a great morning and highly recommend Balazs as a guide .... especially to history buffs
Show moreEvery place we visited had so much history and our tour guide, Richard, shared such valuable information about each one. It was a great experience to be guided by a local and we highly recommend this walking tour to learn about the highlights so you can then explore based on your interests. The visit to the market and the Parliament were my favorites.
Show moreMaria was a fantastic host, very friendly and considerate and very accommodating. She was really eager to show us as much as possible, and also happy to go at our own pace and ready to help us with anything we needed. Like having an old friend in the city to take you around!
Show moreIn very broad strokes, I had a general understanding of Hungary's history. But, since this was our first visit to Budapest, I wanted a crash course on Hungarian history, culture and politics. Our tour guide Lőrinc was the perfect man for the task. He had checked in with us prior to the tour and knew of our interests. So, he crafted a special tour for us that focused on the ancient, Medieval and modern history of Hungary. Absolutely fascinating! I don't remember the names of the founding tribes or the early kings of Hungary (other than the first Christian King, Saint Stephen), but I can't wait to get home and learn more about Hungary and its people. Thank you Lőrinc for an incredible tour!
