Excellent food choices. We certainly felt like we were eating like a local. The historical stops between tastings were both relevant and interesting to us. Great time all around.

Balazs was a fantastic guide,very interesting and informative and he took us to a great mix of eateries including Market stalls ,a small local restaurant and the famous Strudel House.

Kristzian met us at our hotel. After asking us what we were interested in doing, he decided that a tour of the Food Market was what we would do. As we walked to the market, he told us about the history of the area we were in. At the market, we toured the first floor filled with local foods and alcohol. On the second floor, we decided to try some traditional Hungarian dishes that were very good. We left the market and traveled by public transportation to a pastry shop where we had pastry and lemonade. We concluded the tour with Kristzian sharing additional information about his city.

Krisztián was very knowledgeable when discussing Hungary’s 20th century history of which we had many questions. He was kind, funny, and full of energy. We fully enjoyed our three hours with him.
