Discover the best of Bologna to be enjoyed by the whole family on an experience tailored to you by a host who knows what the kids will love to explore
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
We all know that if anywhere makes a good family holiday, it’s Italy - where children are adored, no noise is too loud and no family is too big.
You’ll join one of our friendly local Bologna hosts who will lead you through this medieval city, sharing with you the spots where your tribe can discover underground archeological sites.
There’s so much here to keep your kids entertained - we don’t all adore galleries and historic churches, but we’re sure your little ones will love an adventure to the Whispering Wall or the Botanical Garden. Or how about visiting some local parks where locals usually go to relax?
And of course, you know the menu will never be a problem for fussy eaters. Pizza, pasta, and gelato? Come on, the Italians know what they’re doing.
At the end of the day, it’s about making special memories with your family, and we’re here to help you make that a reality.

It was one of the hottest days in Bologna, Mirko has chosen a tour where we could mostly walk in the shade and stopping to refresh with some of the best ice creams. We got a very good overview of Bologna, seeing the most famous and also some more hidden sights accompanied with historical Information and interesting stories. We enjoyed our tour very much.

Show moreWe decided to meet Claudio on the day we arrived in Bologna and it was the best decision we made. We learned to navigate the city, heard about the amazing history of the place, found a few facts we would have never known about and he even gave us a list of places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, many of which we tried and were amazed by how good they were. A little pasta place which had a long queue of locals but was hard to understand how it worked so if we'd gone past it we never would have tried it and it would have been a real shame as it was amazing!! Claudio was great with our 2 year old and we even met him for aperitivos the following evening as we became friends. I look forward to meeting him again!

Show moreThis was a great personal tour and I enjoyed the one on one conversation. Claudio had wonderful historical stories to share. Lots of time to ask questions and learn more. Bologna is quite unique, a lot of people, a lot of educated people here, home to the first university and still it continues! We enjoyed a nice leisurely walk about Bologna and I learned some amazing, interesting and fun facts! Claudio is very knowledgeable and patient.
