What you’ll do

You’ll join one of our local Milan hosts for a trip to Pavia for the day, an enchanting town steeped in history and culture.

With roots tracing all the way back before the Roman era, it will feel as if you have been transported into a whole other world where emperors and kings rule the land, and romantic Renaissance buildings are scattered between medieval porticoes and towers.

Sounds like a fairytale, we know. You could visit the 12th century Church of Santa Maria di Betlem, the Renaissance Visconti Castle, Pavia Cathedral, and the Romanesque Church of San Michele - which is where Italy's kings were once crowned - and explore the world-renowned University of Pavia.

It goes without saying that your host can’t wait to take you to a fabulous restaurant for lunch - just let us know if your style is more family-run osteria, or a Michelin starred restaurant.
