Embark on a captivating journey to Hiroshima from Fukuoka, guided by a local expert, and witness the city's inspiring rebirth.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
With your local insider as a GPS, guidebook, and Google, you’ll discover more than just Hiroshima’s tragic World War II history. Experience its rich ancient culture and the modern Hiroshima of today: a vibrant hub of friendly locals, pristine parks, tightly-packed sake bars, and plenty of okonomiyaki (savory pancake) restaurants serving Hiroshima’s “soul food”. You could visit the striking symbol of the city, the Atomic Bomb Dome, stroll down the soft sand of the Bayside Beach or explore ancient shrines and temples – from hydrangea-lined Jinguji-temple to Itsukushima. On Miyajima Island, see nature at its most impressive: lush forests, turquoise ocean, and the iconic “floating” torii gate: a shrine that’s partially submerged at high tide.

Yu was great and showed me restaurants that I never would've known about without him. I'm going back to two of them everyday for the rest of the holiday now. Yu was great to talk to and hang out with. Had a fantastic time

Show moreThis was an excellent experience. I had the great honor of being guided by Bruce who has been living in Fukuoka for more than 20 years and has made a significant impact on the modern Yatai food scene. He was very professional and fun. He explained and showed me the true essence of Fukuoka which helped me further understand its local culture. I am a big history and culture person, so I had an absolutely stellar time. Highly recommend this tour and please ask for Bruce if you are interested in the Yatai!
