Explore Hiroshima's highlights & hidden gems in a day with a local host, diving into its rich history and vibrant culture for an unforgettable journey
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Must-see Hiroshima awaits! Begin your day of exploring this historic city at Shukkeien gardens, where your local guide will lead you to a typical Japanese tea house for a tea ceremony and then onto the postcard-perfect bamboo forest and where the Yozakura (Night Cherry blossoms) are best found, come season. From here, Hiroshima castle and all its secret treasures await exploring. Locally known as ‘Carp Castle’ ask your guide for a happy snap with the surrounding koi pond as your memorable backdrop. The infamous A-Bomb Dome is something you need to see firsthand, hear the stories from survivors who frequent the site, and then continue on to the nearby Peace Memorial park, with its beautiful fountains serving as a reminder of human endurance.

Ken was an absolutely wonderful host who carefully planned an itinerary according to our needs, adjusted to minor hiccups along the way, and took all the heartache out of ticket purchases etc.. We had a great day, learned plenty, and got some beautiful photos of the lovely city of Hiroshima and neighbouring Miyajima. Thank you sincerely, Ken!
Show moreI had a great time exploring Miyajima Island and trying the good food and delicacies thanks to my awesome guide Kaori.
Show moreGreat custom experience, able to add extra activities on the day to fit our needs.
Show moreWe spent half a day with Masa as our personal guide to Miyajima Island. As it was our first time to Hiroshima and Miyajima, we found it incredibly helpful and informative to have Masa explain the history of the places we visited. Miyajima Island was simply beautiful with its temples and Itsukushima Shrine. We also took lots of pictures of the friendly deer there. The Floating Torii Gate was not to be missed. I guess when choosing a guide, the question I ask is could I have done this tour by myself. Yes I could….but I would not have learnt about the heart and soul of the place. Masa’s detailed explanation really made the day one of our “highlights” of our 2 week trip to Japan. Thank you Masa! Highly recommend.

Show moreWe were fortunate to have had Afifah as our tour guide. She's very knowledgeable of the history of the sites we visited. She also took us to Instagram worthy spots that weren't crowded. The best part for us was that she's a Muslim. That means looking for halal street foods was easy and suggestions for halal restaurants were always available. This really enhanced our visit to Kyoto! She's also great with children. Highly recommended.
