Explore Hiroshima's highlights & hidden gems in a day with a local host, diving into its rich history and vibrant culture for an unforgettable journey
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Must-see Hiroshima awaits! Begin your day of exploring this historic city at Shukkeien gardens, where your local guide will lead you to a typical Japanese tea house for a tea ceremony and then onto the postcard-perfect bamboo forest and where the Yozakura (Night Cherry blossoms) are best found, come season. From here, Hiroshima castle and all its secret treasures await exploring. Locally known as ‘Carp Castle’ ask your guide for a happy snap with the surrounding koi pond as your memorable backdrop. The infamous A-Bomb Dome is something you need to see firsthand, hear the stories from survivors who frequent the site, and then continue on to the nearby Peace Memorial park, with its beautiful fountains serving as a reminder of human endurance.

Kaori was an excellent guide, she knows a lot about the city, Kaori was very kind and attentive at all times, the tour was very personalized and we loved it, we were 3 people from Mexico and we were fascinated with Kaori's attention
Show moreKaku's tour was like being shown around by a friend. He asked us about our interests and took us to the perfect places. We learned so much about Hiroshima and got to go to places we never would have found on our own. We even made some friends along the way and Kaku helped them, and us, navigate the public transit system. Thank you, Kaku!
Show moreWhat an incredible day in Hiroshima with Nozomi Kushida ( Nozz)! Nozz’s communication from the start was great. There were several spots I wanted to see in Hiroshima and Nozz also booked a great spot for lunch where we had the most delicious okonomiyaki. Nozz took me to Shukkeien Garden, Hiroshima Castle, and of course, Peace Memorial Park and Museum. We saw each spot and Nozz explained the history and importance of each spot The history of Hiroshima is right before your eyes in many spots and is obviously thought-provoking and emotional. Nozz explained with sensitivity at our time in the museum about the various exhibits. It was very emotional and I’m very glad that we stopped and saw this unforgettable museum After our visit, Nozz had planned a visit to Miyajima so that we could see the stunning torii gates. The boat ride was relaxing and Nozz’s easy going manner made for great conversation then and throughout the day. I am so glad we could stop at Miyajima and end the day at such a beautiful site. I am so glad I was able to have Nozz as my guide. His English is absolutely amazing and I learned so much from him. I so appreciate that he accommodated my itinerary and also added a couple of extras that I enjoyed. He also booked spots and activities in advance which saved us time. I have a new friend in Japan! If you are looking for a guide to take you around Hiroshima or Miyajima, you must ask for Nozz. You will be happy you did!
