Unlock Kanazawa's secrets with a local host by your side and explore must-see landmarks with hidden treasures sprinkled in between.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Kanazawa is home to centuries of preserved history – you could never see all of its top attractions in just one day, but what you could do is explore the heart of the city, and tick 10 of them off your bucket list! Higashi Chaya, the city’s famous geisha district, is a must-see, but Nichi Chaya in the south has a rich geisha tradition and some hidden gems of its own, like rakugan – Kanazawa’s pretty, pastel-colored sweets – and a geisha training ground. You’ll see iconic symbols of Japan’s historic heart, like the stately Kanazawa Castle, Omicho Market, and Kenroku-en Garden (one of Japan’s Three Great Gardens), but you’ll also explore the city’s contemporary side in Katamachi, a lively downtown district lined with trendy shops, cool cafes, restaurants, and bars.

Show moreI had an amazing time with my guide. We saw everything in 4 hours. I learned so much more than I would have on my own. This was an invaluable experience, I would recommend it to everyone.
Show moreWe have spend 4 hours with Ms Rimiko that we have enjoy greatly! The entire experience was very well planned and executed. The booking itself was very easy and straightforward, we have booked our tour through Revolut points basically one day ahead, we have right away receive the email from Rimiko asking for our expectations. We wanted to learn about Kanazawa history and main attractions. Rimiko had it all planned and organized next day and took us around very efficient tour, taking the city shortcuts to beat the crowds. I was very enjoyable and we finished the day with small local shopping before returning to our hotel.
Show moreMo was very flexible and accommodating to our needs. We enjoyed our time with him and his interesting insights and perspective. He is definitely knowledgeable about ramen!
Show moreIt was such fun to tour the city with Rimi. She had such insight since she grew up there, sharing history, culture, funny stories, etc. Her tour was our favorite of the 5 tours we took in Japan.
