From a 1900 year old shrine to futuristic architecture, tick the must-sees in this delightful city
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
To see all of Nagoya’s top attractions, you’d need way more than eight hours – but with a local host by your side, you’ll easily check at least 10 of its top spots off your sightseeing list. Take a tranquil stroll through the traditional Shirotori Garden, and join throngs of otaku enthusiasts in Osu, home of the annual World Cosplay Summit (and 700-year-old Osu Kannon Temple). Follow your host through busy central districts, past the iconic TV Tower, trendy boutiques, and the Sky Boat Ferris Wheel – mounted right on the side of Sunshine Sakae Mall! Hungry? Experience authentic Nagoya at a hidden backstreet bar, or in the city’s best-kept secret: the Fushimi underpass, where traditional restaurants serve the most mouthwatering food.

Saki-san was our tour guide for our half day tour in Nagoya. She spoke fluent English, was a very friendly guide and we enjoyed her company! Saki was very flexible and reached out earlier prior to the actual tour to better understand our interest and places where we wanted to visit. In particular, her sharing on the history of the palace and Nagoya castle was very interesting. Lastly, Saki also introduced us to the Nagano old street and recommended a local sake bar / diner for our dinner. Thank you Saki! We highly recommend her if you are planning to tour Nagoya :)
Show moreThe best part about the tour was going to the Nagoya Castle. Anna was great, thank you!
Show moreTakako was very eager to guide us as she was already texting me a few days earlier. She was responsive to my queries and changes in places to go to. Upon meeting, Takako was very pleasant to talk to and she was always smiling while explaining the tourist places we visited. We had a great time with her.

Show moreIt was nice to be able to have a pleasant and enjoyable time at a Japanese restaurant of the level I wanted. It was also nice to have the time to find nearby attractions while taking the subway and listen to detailed explanations while experiencing them.
