Practical know-how, chopstick etiquette and a few ramen recommendations. Yum!
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Buckle up for a practical crash course in navigating Sapporo like a pro – and a golden opportunity to check out a couple of the city’s must-sees along the way. You’ll jostle your way through a traditional market, Nijo, trawl the 150-year-old Tanukikoji covered shopping arcade for sweet treats and souvenirs, and head to local hangout Nakajima Park, where you could check out the museum and traditional teahouse, or stroll the lush lawns along Sōsei River towards Iyahiko Shrine. When it’s time for a snack, it’s only right for an honorary Sapporo local to try the city’s specialty at Soup Curry GARAKU, before downing a draft of Japan’s most iconic beer in the city that invented it while your host shares more essential insider tips for your trip.

My family and I are glad we hire a tour guide because we were able to explore more of Japan. Our tour guide’s name is Shiunn she was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Shiunn showed us around Sapporo Japan and we had such a great experience. Shiunn was able to share her thoughts and suggestions to help us get around town on our own. The next day my family and I were able to explore on our own and we saved a lot of time instead of researching places to go ourselves. I highly recommend hiring a tour guide to show you around so you can spend more time vacationing rather then wasting precious time during our vacation.
Show moreI loved going to the sake museum and the shrine.
Show moreOur family enjoyed everything about this trip. Shiunn was a great guide she is very knowledgeable, pleasant to talk to and showed us around town. What our family enjoyed the most was going up to Mount Moiwa and seeing the beautiful view of the city of Sapporo. We wish we had more time to explore more places.
Show moreOur guide was the best, he was used to dealing with a person in a wheelchair so he took us to wheelchair friendly places and even pushed the chair for us sometimes. He knew a lot about the area, and it's history. His English was fantastic, we had no communication problems at all. He asked if there was anything in particular that we wanted to see or do, which was appreciated. Best tour yet in Japan.
Show moreRyuki answered all our questions without any problem. As we are Australian his English is excellent. Well spoken. Knowledgeable of Sapporo ( Hokkaido prefecture) is excellent.
