Spend a day exploring the best of a capital fit for vikings and hipsters alike
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Explore one of the happiest cities on earth, nestled between oceans once ventured by Vikings, in a day tailored to your wildest Norwegian wishes, like marveling at the world’s largest sculpture park, and strolling along the heart of the city’s center towards the palace of a king. Backtrack to medieval times outside a fortified castle fit for a shieldmaiden and fast-forward to modernity on the roof of the glacier-like Opera House. For lunch, hop over to Oslo’s coolest borough by the river Grünerløkka, teeming with artsy folk, to an indoor market for a taste of traditional Norwegian meatballs Kjøttkaker. Back near city central, picturesque streets lined with colorful wooden houses await, but skip the crowds to a rockin’ pub for a glass of potato aquavit – skål!

The experience was nothing short of spectacular, and want to extend my gratitude to City Unscripted team, especially our outstanding tour guide, Marianne. From the moment we embarked on the tour, it was evident that we were in for a memorable adventure! What truly stood out during the tour was Marianne's commitment to making the day special for all of us. Marianne's enthusiasm and expertise shone through as she guided us through the beautiful streets and landmarks of Oslo. Her in-depth knowledge of the city's history, culture, and hidden gems added a new dimension to our journey. She personalized the experience, addressing our questions and catering to our interests. Her passion for Oslo was infectious, and her anecdotes and stories about the city made the tour both educational and entertaining. Her willingness to go the extra mile to accommodate our needs did not go unnoticed, and we deeply appreciate her thoughtfulness. The city left a lasting impression on all of us, and it wouldn't have been possible without the meticulous planning and execution by your team. Once again, thank you for an unforgettable tour, and please convey our deepest appreciation and warm regards to Marianne. Jay & Angie

Show moreTwo hours was the right amount of time for us to tour in February. We saw what we wanted to see and got an idea of where we wanted to go back later that day. Sheena was very nice and knowledgeable and we enjoyed our time with her. Would recommend to anyone who would rather walk than do a hop on hop off bus.
Show moreSheenam was a great guide. Her communication was fantastic and she gave us an informative and interesting tour of Oslo. As someone who moved to the City a few years ago, she has clearly done her homework and knows the history and culture of Norway and refers to it as home. We had to rush everything along at the end due to flight times but she was very understanding and accommodating.
Show moreSheena was amazing, very knowledgeable, kind and and cultural. We went to all parts of Oslo which you normally wouldn't know to go. Despite the weather being cold and snowy, she was able to cover a large portion of the city. We had a nice coffee break in the middle of the tour. I would certainly highly recommend her
