Explore Singapore's futuristic architecture & local lifestyle. Discover how we overcame the odds to create a global garden city in under 50 years!
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
I have meticulously created this experience to help you immerse yourself in the vibrant world of Singapore’s local living and architecture and get a glimpse of what the future will look like. I like to think that I’m quite the go-to person for curating this kind of experience, as my two passions in life are architecture and this incredible city I call home. Get ready for an adventure of a lifetime, uncovering the beauty of Singapore with a local host.
The first stop in any Singaporean architectural experience has to be the Urban Redevelopment Authority. This spot is where the city’s future is being planned out, and everyone I’ve ever brought here has found it endlessly fascinating. You won’t regret this, even if it’s just for the scale models. Your host will take you from the past to the present day and paint the picture of the decisions and plans that are made here.
Pinnacle@Duxton is next on your agenda. This is one of my personal favorites. It inspires a sense of excitement about what you can expect from your future home. The amazing sky bridges, vertical gardens, and towering structures leave you with a sense of what is possible and, maybe, what's to come. I, for one, can’t wait for it!
Your host will then lead you to ParkRoyal@Pickering. It has such an interesting atmosphere, and the hotel combines sustainability with luxury. Your host will be able to unpack all the impressive innovations contained here. Not only does this location speak to the future it is also an amazing spot to get photos right now. I’d have to put this as one of my top recommendations for first-time visitors!
Then, you’ll have the chance to view tomorrow's workplace at CapitaSpring! Don’t worry; this isn't just a boring office tour: Think about cutting-edge designs, collaborative spaces, and out-of-this-world technology. You have to see it to believe it. There is a nice little extra as well; don’t forget to stop for a quick bite at the Japanese restaurant on the 51st floor, Oumi. So worth it!
And, of course, you can’t visit Singapore without having a knowledgeable local host take you to the National Gallery Singapore. Here, you’ll come to realize there’s nothing quite like Singaporean art and architecture. Many have told me it’s a truly unique experience. Its the perfect balance of the modern and contemporary. Learn all about the inspiration behind many of the city's developments and how art has played an important part.
Next up is the Marina One Show Gallery. The building includes offices, residences, retail shopping, and restaurants; can you imagine never having to leave your building? It’s a glimpse into tomorrow's environment. There is a lot to take in here and your host will ensure you get all the must knows.
Before you finish, you have to get a look at one of my favorite views of the city! Marina Bay Sands is not just beautiful; it’s also incredibly convenient. It’s the perfect stop for all of your dining, shopping, and leisure needs. You’ve no doubt seen many photographs and videos of this place; it's time to make your own. The buildings, surroundings and views are wonderful, and there is so much to talk about here you’ll struggle to keep to your timings. Fortunately, that's what your host is for; it's time to move on.
Finally, you'll conclude your experience at the ArtScience Museum. It’s an incredibly fun, immersive experience of art, science, and technology (a must for those with kids). There are lots of things that you can get involved in, put your hands on, learn about, and witness. Like the gallery before, it's easy to find many of the inspirations of the city contained within the walls of this museum.
Each stop on your itinerary offers a different perspective of Singapore's modern living, architectural history, and future, a topic dear to my heart. Singapore's architecture reflects its spirit of innovation and resilience, inspired by art and science. This is truly the best way to understand and experience Singapore. I'm thrilled to share with you the beauty of it all with your new local buddy.

Show moreJoanne was in contact with us right after we signed on for the tour. When she found out we were arriving on a ship she offered to meet us at the cruise port. We discussed the options and she guided us through the metro. She told us the history and the details of the stops. We tried a local sugar cane drink as well as a local cake..we had a dood walking pace to see as much as we could within out time frame. Should we be back in Singapore we would happily book again and be thrilled if Joanne was our guide. Many thanks; we leaned a lot and had a great time
