Creative spirits, bohemian sensibilities and an effortlessly arty character.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
There must be something in the salty sea air (or maybe in the sangria) - you’ll wonder how so much creative energy, artistic culture, and bohemian vibes can come from a neighborhood so small. But let us tell you, it’s true!
You’ll explore this trendy barrio with one of our local Barcelona hosts, and you’ll see for yourself why El Born is said to be Barcelona’s most fashionable and artistic neighborhood. They can’t wait to show you this creative corner of the city which went from being a chilled-out seaside vacation spot to a hip and happening artistic neighborhood.
Wander through the narrow cobbled streets flanked with quirky boutiques, cafes, and medieval squares as you soak up the boho atmosphere that engulfs you. From the colorful mural-lined streets to contemporary art galleries, you’ll soon see where this artistic reputation comes from, but if history is more your thing, you’ll love uncovering El Born’s medieval past. Or if you want to just kick back in a crumbling square (all part of the charm) and lazily indulge in some sangria and tapas - well, who’s to stop you, this is your experience.

I have been relying on professional guides for several years to travel. I have done dozens of activities with different agencies and I can say that Alan has proved to be the best guide I have encountered. From a professional point of view he was very attentive to my preferences by conducting the tours (3) in the manner most congenial to me and introducing me to typical places and local culture as I had asked him to do. He demonstrated in-depth knowledge in the many fields covered during all three activities conducted, generating a very interesting cultural exchange, facilitated by his open personality and friendliness. Absolutely recommended, especially for solo travelers.
Show moreElvira made my first time and my first day in Barcelona a wonderful experience. After she learrned about my interests she adjusted the tour to my liking. She showed me the amazing Born district and provided insights of the culture and history. We had a little Snack in a beautiful hidden cafe. She have me plenty of tips for the next days. I can fully recommend Elvira!
Show moreWhat an amazing tour with Ivanna! The El Born was wonderful and exciting.
Show moreVisiting the Arco de Triunfo and making a wish as I passed beneath the arco was an amazing ending to my tour. I tremendously enjoyed the cuisine at San Pedrito Restaurant. Touring the Mayor’s Office was very special also. All of this was under the excellent guidance of my amazing Tour Guide, Ivanna Pogorelsky. Ivanna’s conversational style was perfect for me and made the time spent exploring El Born quite memorable.
Show moreWe were able to see and experience the El Born close up. Ivanna made sure all of my expectations were met and we had a lovely dinner
Show moreWe met our local guide, Karla after we finished our tour of Familia Sagrada. We took a taxi to the El Born district and then started our walking tour. She showed us the area, talked about it, we took pictures and tried some local food and drink. She was very personable and fun, we had a great afternoon with her! I'd recommend doing this to anyone who wants to learn a bit more about Barcelona and walk to see the area.
