Vibrant markets, breathtaking architecture and the president's home
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
In a city so centered around family, experiencing the Catalonian style of family living with one of our local Barcelona hosts joining you and your tribe will be an experience you’ll cherish. Barcelona is a city rich in culture, steeped in history, and pulsing with energy that radiates passion, and your host can’t wait to share that with you and your family.
Take in the diversity of the city as you embark on your very own 4-hour family adventure through the winding streets, the vibrant beaches, and striking hills. You could delve into the magical background of the Gothic Quarter, take in the inspiring sights of Parc Güell and the Sagrada Família or head off to a colorful market where the kids can run amok, uncovering hidden treasures and learning about local dishes that will have even the fussiest of eaters coming back for seconds.
While on the topic of food, Catalan cooking is always a hit with families. We suggest trying out churros - your kids will love this deep-fried doughy treat that is dipped into thick, hot chocolate - we just can’t be responsible for the subsequent churros addiction!

Pau was amazing in understanding our needs and making a Taylor made tour! I was traveling with my mother and my 7 years old twin children, and he managed to merge culture, architecture and gastronomy in the same tour!
Show moreOur family really enjoyed meeting with our host, Yana. We felt like we were meeting with a friend who wanted to us to experience the best of Barcelona. She was very kind and accommodating and taught us about various parts of the city. We learned so much from her and enjoyed getting to know her. I recommend City Unscripted for anyone visiting Barcelona for the first time and I also recommend Yana as their host. Thanks Yana!!
Show moreWe enjoyed a relaxing walk through the gothic quarter and a local park with Karla. The experience was excellent, kids enjoyed it and took away some of the stress of visiting a city with kids. Karla made some excellent suggestions of things to do and places to go, including a marvellous tapas restaurant.
Show moreWe had a great time exploring the city and seeing lots of great things! Stopped for a great lunch and loved all the history she shared. Overall a wonderful experience!
Show moreWe were a little apprehensive about doing this as it is Unscripted (as the the tour suggests), but it ended up being planned out exactly to our tastes. Our guide took us around the El Born area, starting at the market with drinks and croquettes along with other foods to satisfy our Foodie tastes. We walked around El Born learning about the area, the culture and the traditions. We stopped at the original place for Los Pescatidos. We had Catalan dessert and Cava. I was quite impressed with this experience, especially not knowing what we were going to do and see. Would do it again.
Show moreWhat a great way to experience Barcelona - truly the highlights ! The guide was fantastic, knowledgeable, astute, charming and full of stories. While it didn’t include entrance to any of the Gaudi sites - you could fully customize the experience with the exception being that many entrances require advance booking during the holidays - this was a ‘highly recommended’ experience!
