Copas, tapas, canas and fiestas on the sultry streets of Malasaña - the hipster’s playground.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Malasaña is one of those places where anything seems possible, especially after dark!
Join one of our Madrid hosts and discover its independent music venues, tiny taverns and street-side bars for yourself as you take to the cobbled walkways together!
The great part about a night out in Madrid is that no matter where you go, the energy and zest for life is palpable.
In Malasaña, old locals rub shoulders with students in hipster cocktail bars and all are welcome to join in with the fiesta (not siesta, mind you - two very different concepts we’re dealing with).
Start your night with some scrumptious tapas to line your stomach, accompanied by cañas (beers). This is how the locals like to kickstart their night out, so naturally, you’ll be blending in like the sophisticated explorer you are.
Next, copas! These are cocktails best enjoyed at a sultry bar that spills out onto the streets, and your host will know just the place for you!
Once your experience with them ends, you’ll be armed with a million recommendations of how best to spend the rest of your night, so don’t go home quite yet.
Real Madrileños won’t be caught at home until the wee hours of the morning. You don’t want to let them down, do you?

Lisa was a wonderful host and a great person with whom to spend time.
Show moreWe had a great tour with Lisa. She was a knowledgeable and helpful guide. We all enjoyed seeing the city and spending time with her.
Show moreWe had scheduled a small group tour but at the last minute we decided we really wanted a private one-on-one experience to truly learn about Madrid. We are so glad we did and that Patricia was our guide. She had so much knowledge and was filled with fun facts that you only get with a true local. With a bubbly personality and lots of information, we learned so much. She also introduced us to the oldest cocktail bar in Madrid and the Lhardy (the first true restaurant in the world with menus, proper service, etc) and we were lucky enough to dine there the next evening. Her knowledge on the Spanish civil war was exceptional too. Definitely book this early on your trip while in Madrid. You will walk away with a list of places to come back to - ways to navigate the city and a better appreciation for beautiful city of Madrid.
Show moreLisa was an excellent guide and wonderful to work with. It was a great experience learning about Madrid and visiting the various neighborhoods and seeing places we would never find or know about ourselves.
Show moreThank you so much for the tour yesterday. We really enjoyed it and appreciate the history and information shared.
