Do you see yourself in a sleek bar in upmarket Salamanca, an old-school vermouth bar in down-to-earth, humble and diverse Lavapiés, a quirky tapas bar in hip(ster) Malasaña or a market like Mercado de San Anton, which has three floors of gastro bliss, aka tiny bars where you can sample pinchos (tapas held together with a small stick)?

Not only did we learn about the tapas culture, how to order, where to eat them, we also saw different parts of the city and heard personal stories from Ricardo. His English was excellent, and he was very knowledgeable about Madrid and Spain. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Madrid.

I had a fantastic evening experience in Madrid with Jorge. Starting with a chilled walk through some of the parks and ending with food and drinks in one of the more alternative neighbourhoods, I managed to see the city as only a local would. Highly recommended!

This was a food tour. I booked a private tour because we are vegetarians and hence felt a group tour might not be suitable. It was a nice evening out with Isabel and we tried a couple of vegan restaurants. I wouldn’t say the tour delivered value for the amount charged.

Spending this time with Lisa as our guide through the neighborhoods of Madrid was fantastic! We loved the opportunity to customize where we went and what we saw all throughout the day! We learned about the history and culture of Madrid, as well as stopped at some local spots to see shops and cafes that had an interesting history. Exploring with Lisa was like spending time with a friend. She was informative and funny, checking if we were enjoying our time, and giving us a perspective to what it is like to live in Madrid. We also loved hearing her stories about her journey to Madrid from Venezuela and the US, and we are so impressed with her entrepreneurial spirit of starting her own company. Fantastic day! Highly recommend! Thank you Lisa for highlighting the wonderful city of Madrid for our family!
