I'm Asefeh, a local host in Brussels. I know the city inside out, from the Center of Brussels to Rogier, Shaerbeek, the European Quarter, and Saint Gilles. I absolutely love this city - it's the second international city in the world and the capital of Europe! It's a melting pot of different cultures and languages, making it special. I especially enjoy walking in the historical parts of the city and discovering new places. I'm always excited to meet new people, learn about their cultures, and try their traditional food. As an art student, I know quite a bit about Belgian artists and art nouveau architecture - I lived with an architect (my partner) for over 10 years, so I know the most important buildings in the city. And, of course, I know the best places to eat the most delicious and unique foods Brussels offers!

In 2022, I decided to come out from behind the computer screen to train as a tour guide. I finished my course in 2024 and I now hold the Flanders Tourism tour guide badge. I see myself as an all-rounder but my main interests are history and architecture, and if you are looking for a green oasis in the city, I can be of assistance there too. They say that 'a picture is worth a thousand words.' I believe that facts and figures are more relevant when explained in the context of your surroundings and what you are seeing in the present moment. That is why I try to make my tours as informative and engaging as possible by incorporating plenty of visual references. The city’s past has made Brussels what it is today: a multicultural society. There’s something here for everyone. So, let me show you my Brussels, and I will help you discover yours. I speak English, French, German and Dutch.
Visit Host ProfileI make Brussels' history and architecture engaging with vivid storytelling, visual references, and hidden green spaces, ensuring every experience is immersive and insightful.
After years in IT, I swapped my computer screen for the streets of Brussels and now love bringing the city’s history and architecture to life through visual storytelling.

Here is what our guests say about our hosts and creating memories
Oscar made us feel special and delivered in every respect.
We had a great morning with Sebastian covering lots of territory in Brussels. He gave us a lot of great information about all the sites as well as just enough history. It was a truly enjoyable 3 hours and I would highly recommend this as a way to get oriented to the city. It makes exploring places later much easier and gives you a great idea of how to get around to where you want to return.
We had the most wonderful afternoon exploring the ins and outs of Brussels with Patrick. He is so friendly and knowledgeable, we talked non-stop finding so many cultural and unique commonalities. He knows Brussels intimately, including history and stories about all the major sites, while providing insights about intriguing off the beaten path locales, restaurants, shops and nightlife. We explored cathedrals, museums, parks, side streets and chocolate shops, while joining a street party celebrating the Mustache Men and Mannequin Pis. It was a delightful experience and highlight of our Brussels experience.
Andrea was nonstop… our tour was about 4 1/2 hours without any stops or breaks … He was very knowledgeable and wanted to impart as much knowledge, history, and information as possible He really wanted you to learn as much about Brussels as you possibly could…very genuine…so glad we did it!!
We took this two hour walking tour on April 26, 2026 with our tour guide Sebastian. He sent us a text the morning of the tour confirming that he would meet us at out hotel and describing his appearance so he was easy to identify. Sebastian was an excellent tour guide and showed us many locally important sites within Central Brussels and offered suggestions of where to shop and eat. He described the history and significance of each site often including some local folk lore. I highly recommend this tour with Sabastian.
It was a nice leisure walking pace. Sebastian was great at tailoring the tour so we could see what actually interested us. He gave some great recommendations of places we could go after we finished the tour.
We had a great morning with Francis. We told him my husband mostly wanted to see the EU Parliament area in Brussels and he showed us all of it. It was informative and we appreciated ghat he was very considerate of our slower pace as a couple of 80 year olds.
Yolande was a knowledgeable guide. We wanted a fast paced tour to see as much as possible in ourr 2 hours together. She delivered! We got a good sense of the cuty and know which areas we will visit again. She gave us recommendations for shopping, restaurants and the best chocolate in Brussels.
