A rare book library, a hipster hangout and eight more must-see attractions in the heart of downtown
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
In Toronto – a cultural, cosmopolitan playground with residents from around the world – the tourist trail has a variety of attractions, from bays and buildings to green spaces and gourmet greats. While it would be impossible to see them all, we can show you 10 of them! See famous architecture at the University of Toronto and Old City Hall, and stroll along urban beachfront where locals relax. Get an interactive history lesson at the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library and touch pages that have seen centuries pass, and explore two of the city’s most iconic areas, Kensington Market and St. Lawrence Market – the former a bohemian borough and indie entertainment hub, and the latter a 200-year-old marketplace filled with artisanal food and wares.

It was a wonderful experience! Our guide Ryan was excellent, showing enthusiasm as he took us through the most important parts of Toronto. He was always telling us neat facts about its history or how Toronto’s communities live. Make sure to go through the Graffiti Walk, its art is amazing!
Show moreEnjoyed walking through parts of Toronto while learning about some of its history and the community that lives there. I especially enjoyed going through the market and going through the Graffiti Walk. Ryan (our guide) was kind, engaging in conversation with us and showing enthusiasm as we went through the city.
Show moreWe had a wonderful time with jCU guide David Ubaldo! He catered to our requests! We walked 8000 steps, but I didn’t feel it! It was an off the beaten track walking tour! And, yes! We skipped the CNN tower! Too touristy!
Show moreWe spent a day with Miriam exploring the heart of Toronto. We walked around and took in the many sights around Downtown, such as the City Halls, Cathedrals, Lawrence and Kensington Markets, Distillery District, Graffiti Alley and also took a ferry across to Ward Island to walk around the idyllic surroundings and enjoy Toronto views from there. Miriam was very flexible, organised, friendly and well-informed and we truly enjoyed our day out with her ! She continued to be helpful even after the tour on our other remaining days, feeding us with information about other aspects of Toronto. Thank you !
Show moreGood tour. Jacqueline was personable and handled an exceptionally cold day well.
Show moreMatti was a very friendly and gracious guide. He walked us all around the Kensington Market and Chinatown neighborhoods, sharing interesting facts about the city and cracking jokes the whole way. We had a really nice evening walking around and exploring Toronto. Because it was a Monday unfortunately a lot of unique food destinations were closed, but that’s on me for booking the tour on a Monday. We still enjoyed ourselves and I would highly recommend Matti to anyone looking to have fun exploring the Toronto downtown!
