Do you want some of the best food in Paris? Ouais! Then let a local host take you on a foodie adventure of a lifetime. Bon appétit!
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Paris is absolutely stunning - from the majestic sights to the gorgeous lights that make the city sparkle at night. Who wouldn’t want to spend a day here? So I've crafted an unforgettable Parisian adventure for you, with stops that will make your taste buds sing and your heart swoon. And with a local host by your side to show you the hidden gems of this stunning city, it's sure to be a fun ride. Let's dive right into this delicious journey!
First up, a chocolate shop that feels like a little slice of heaven. The moment you step in, you're greeted by the rich aroma of cocoa, instantly lifting your spirits. The displays here are mouthwatering – rows upon rows of glossy, handcrafted chocolates that look almost too beautiful to eat. Almost. Your host will have a ton of yummy recommendations for you to try here. I have a soft spot for their dark chocolate truffles. They're decadent, with just the right amount of bitterness.
Next, head to a fromagerie that's a cheese lover's paradise. The smell here is pungent in the best possible way, and the selection is overwhelming in its variety. You'll find everything from creamy Bries to sharp Roqueforts and even some lesser-known gems - trust your host here because the scary cheeses are usually the best. I always make a beeline for the Comté – it's aged to perfection, with a nutty, caramel-like flavor that's out of this world.
Your next stop is Miss Manon, a delightful bakery that will tempt you with its array of pastries and breads. The display window alone is enough to make anyone stop in their tracks. Inside, it's cozy and bustling, with the comforting smell of freshly baked goods wafting through the air. Their éclairs are to die for – perfectly light and filled with luscious cream. But my personal favorite is the pain au chocolat. It's flaky, buttery, and has just the right amount of chocolate. Yum!
Your penultimate stop is Primeur du Marais, a charming fruit and vegetable market. The produce here is fresh, colorful, and beautifully arranged. It's a feast for the eyes and the palate. From juicy strawberries to crisp apples, everything looks like it's straight from the farm. I love grabbing a few pieces of fruit for a quick, healthy snack. If you're into cooking, this is the perfect place to pick up some fresh ingredients for a homemade meal.
You’ve arrived at the pièce de résistance: Place des Vosges. This square is an oasis of tranquility and one of my favorite spots in Paris. The perfectly manicured lawns, the symmetrically lined trees, and the grand arcades create a serene, almost magical atmosphere. Find a spot on the grass or one of the benches, and take a moment to soak it all in. If you're up for it, explore the surrounding arcades filled with art galleries and charming cafés.
So there you have it – a perfect day on Rue Saint-Antoine, filled with delicious treats, delightful sights, and a little bit of Parisian magic. Enjoy every moment, and don't forget to take lots of pictures! Bon appétit and have an amazing adventure!

From the beginning, Jill was so friendly and helpful and ready to show us the best time in Paris. She was full of great information and history of the area, answering questions and steering us toward some of the best food we had all of our time in Paris. Not only did she bring us to get items for our picnic, she also brought blankets and utensils and plates and other items that we would need - including a wine opener! We loved our picnic and getting to know Jill!

Show moreHristo was a wonderful tour guide who took us to places off the beaten path. We had a group of two extremes: four who had been to Paris several times and one who was visiting for the first time. He was very patient with my elderly Mom and made sure that we were comfortable and found bathroom breaks along the way. We saw a side of Paris that we’ve never seen and we loved it! Hristo was a fantastic guide!
Show morePascal was great! He listened carefully to what we wanted to see during our tour of Paris and accommodated our specific needs. It was very helpful that he started the tour at our hotel in central Paris. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant company. Thank you Pascal for a wonderful, brief overview of Paris. Also thank you City Unscripted for excellent, responsive customer service.
Show moreI throughly recommend this private tour. We only had two days in Paris and wanted to use our time as efficiently as possible. Our tour guide, Come, was excellent and we felt that we had seen and learnt a lot on the 3 hour tour.
Show moreElli was incredible with her planning and knowledge. She’s great for families as we have one, but very deep in her knowledge and understanding . We had an incredible private tour and highly recommend her and this tour.
