We booked the 2 hour private tour with a local guide. I highly recommend this tour. Our guide Mara with "City Unscripted" was very knowledgeable and took us to areas of Florence that we would not have ventured to on our own. She made recommendations for things for us to do on our own and places to eat that were not in touristy part of Florence.

Martina was amazing! She met us at our hotel and gave us a tour of a bunch of different neighborhoods in Florence, sharing the history of the churches and landmarks we passed and pointing out details in the art and architecture that we wouldn't have noticed on our own. It was so nice to be able to go at our own pace - we're fast walkers and city people, but we had spent most of the week on group tours, slowly moving with a large crowd and not seeing as much as we'd like to see. Martina knew the city so well, and we really felt that she gave us some unique insight into what life is like for locals. She recommended some great places to visit and eat! Would definitely recommend a tour with her to friends and family.

My husband and I had a great tour with Mara! We took the 2 hour tour and it was just enough time to give us a great overview of Florence and help us determine what we wanted to do during our stay. She was nice enough to take some pictures for us and give us historical knowledge of the different neighborhoods and places. Great value for the tour and we thoroughly enjoyed our time.

Our tour was wonderful! Gianmarco is enthusiastic, well informed, and answered so many questions. We were able to cover so many aspects of the city and Gianmarco was a great storyteller. His reccomended restaurant at the end of our tour was fantastic as well.
