You could take the funicular railway up to hilltop Brunate for incredible lake views or stroll the romantic streets of Bellagio below balconies covered in bougainvillea, stopping at a local winery for a wine tasting. Admire the iconic Villa Carlotta across the lake before sailing to the tiny village of Varenna, where you could step into the medieval Church of Saint George, see the milky white water of the Fiumelatte (the shortest river in Italy), or relax on the terrace of Varenna’s best-loved aperitivo spot, for a refreshing spritz and Italian delicacies.

A great trip to Lake Como. Shan was an incredible guide. He contacted us several times prior to the trip to make sure he was providing us the best opportunities. He planned the trip in reverse to avoid the long lines for the boat trips. Great thinking, the tour was perfect. Shan is very knowledgeable and very accommodating. We would do this trip again with him as he knew were all the hidden gems were and we are sure there are more to see.

Shan, was great. Very informative and engaging. He reached out to us several times before our tour to not only confirm but to also made some suggestions as to what he would recommend we do. He reversed the tour so we would avoid the long lines for the boats in and around Lake Como. A really nice guy with lots of good information. We would definitely recommend Shan as a guide!
