Gladiator school, gelato and 2000 years of history hidden underground.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
You’ll discover the family-friendly Roman way of life with one of our local Rome hosts, and your tribe, by your side.
Sure, the Eternal City may be crammed with classical treasures and ancient history, but we can’t all find the Vatican wildly entertaining - when you’re ten there are other things you’d rather be doing, you know?
Luckily for you, there’s nowhere better for a family trip than a city where family life is at the heart of everything - you’ll be welcomed into every pizzeria, gelateria, and shop with open arms!
From gladiator school, where kids can have fun dressing up in tunics and training (yep, they exist), to walking through centuries of history and seeing Rome come to life through the ages - no one will be bored.
If little legs get tired from walking through the cobbled streets, you can always visit a park, like Villa Borghese or Gianicolo, where you can see traditional puppet shows and hear cannons being fired at midday, or make a beeline for the nearest pizzeria or gelateria - your host knows just the place.

Gerry was an incredible host for me and my four year old son. Helpful with manuvouring the pram and taking time and effort to make sure we were all ok and having a good time. He was flexible and adaptive to our needs and really easygoing. His passion for Rome is obvious and infectious. I'd love to come back. Thank you so much Gerry! Rome would not have been the same without you!
Show moreBellissima esperienza a Roma con Ugo, lui è il top come preparazione e come simpatia, abbiamo passeggiato con lui, ascoltandolo con trasporto e piacere...
Show moreBizarrely my parents came across this site before me which almost put me off the whole thing, thinking - very wrongly- that they would be totally clueless. They bought me and my family this experience knowing that our boys cannot get enough of gladiators, wild animals and centurions! Alessandra was brilliant with us all but particularly with the boys. We never felt like anything was too much, we could take everything at our own speed but also really feel like we each got to know something a little bit special about Rome. I dont normally like or go for tours. This wasnt that- it was the best kind of experience- someone lovely, knowledgeable and patient showing us around. Perfect.

Show moreClaudio was an excellent guide! We saw things we had never seen before on our previous trips to Rome. He made the experience so fun and interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and I highly recommend it.
Show moreWe did the 3 hour walking tour through Rome with Alessandra. We've done and enjoyed many tours, but Alessandra was quite possibly the best tour guide we have ever had! She is friendly, kind, energy, enthusiastic, and full of interesting information. It was my husband and me and our two sons (16 and 14) and she took time to talk to each of us and get to know us and keep us all engaged. We didn't come prepared with a complete list of things we wanted to see, and we had already scheduled to see many main attractions on separate days, but Alessandra was able to think on the fly and come up with so many interesting places to visit that weren't already on our itinerary. Her passion and enthusiasm for the city of Rome and the history associated with Rome is evident and comes through in her tours. By the end of the three hours we felt we had made a friend and we were sorry to have the tour come to an end. We all had such a good time. Can't recommend her or the tour highly enough!! Thanks, Alessandra!
