Experience the magic of the annual sakura season "hanami" celebrations with a local insider
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
With your host to show you how locals like to celebrate, you’ll go on an experience of some of Sapporo’s loveliest sakura spots. With drinks and snacks from a konbini convenience store, sit down under the blooming boughs of 2,600 cherry blossom trees in Moerenuma Park’s ‘Cherry Blossom Forest’ for your very own hanami (cherry blossom viewing) picnic.
Move between the city’s bustling central parks, each with its gorgeous groves of blossoms, or get off the beaten track toward Nakanosawa. This street transforms into a fairytale tunnel of pink petals. And don’t worry about missing the season! In northern Hokkaido – the last place to warm up springtime – the iconic flowers bloom well into May!

Ryuki is an exceptional guide who gladly adapted his pace to suit ours and tailored the itinerary according to our requests. He has an in-depth knowledge of the city and is familiar with hidden spots that aren't even marked on the maps.
Show moreLeo was amazing, he took us all around Sapporo and introduced us to some local dives. He even took time out of his personal life to give me more recommendations during my stay in Japan. Very above and beyond!
Show moreit was a great and fun day with our guide Akihiro, being a single mom with my 4 year old son I thought that my son will be able to be cooperative and walk the length of the underground pathway but nearing the tourist information center he did not want to walk, I asked Akihiro if he can meet us there and go back to the hotel to get his stroller. I am grateful that he is very kind and understanding. he personalized my tour to my tastes and he did it perfectly. it was a memorable fun tour! I would definitely recommend! thank you klook!
Show moreWe only had two full days in Sapporo and we loved our 4-hour tour with our guide Akihiro, a Sapporo native who studied in the US. We wanted to make sure we hit the highlights and his tour was a great orientation given our limited amount of time. We were able to change the meeting point to our hotel which was very convenient. Good communication over WhatsApp beforehand where he considerately asked if we were ok with walking or if we wanted a more relaxed pace. He met us promptly and helped us set up our travel card for the subway and bus - the tour is mainly walking but using public transportation got us to the attractions quickly. Really enjoyable tour of some of Sapporo’s highlights (Maruyama Park & Hokkaido Jingu shrine, Okurayama Ski Jump where, after going up in the chair lift, the view over the city is amazing, Sapporo Clock Tower, Nijo Fish Market). Sapporo is a lovely city with a lot to see and do - if only we had been able to spend more time there.
Show moreAkihiro was friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, and made the experience wonderful from beginning to end when he placed us in a cab and waved goodbye.
Show moreTravelling with my 4 year old son for the first time and walking around to see places was not his thing. He had a feat because he did not walk to walk, I am grateful that Akihiro went to meet us where we were when we were lost before the meet up and travelled back to get his stroller. I loved the wagyu beef restaurant, mikyuyoshi mecca of food and tea shop since 1935 where I got to try matcha tea and ice cream. Ended with Sapporo tv tower beautiful and so memorable.I look forward to booking again another trip. Thank you Akihiro it was a trip for the books! until next time!!!
