What you’ll do

Get ready for a half-day adventure in the cozy capital of Norway, like kicking your half-day off outside the Royal Palace for a peek at the royal guards, before picking a pansy along Karl Johans Gate, where you’ll pass one of Norway’s most prominent theatres and other romantic landmarks. Next, head to the nearby Nobel Peace Center, an arena for involved politics overlooking the harbor, before darting to the Scandanavian architectural pride, the sleek Opera House. Wander off the tourist track to trendy suburb Grünerløkka, intertwined with remnants of industrial Oslo, snug cafés and exploding street art celebrating Norwegian beauty and precision. There, meander past the sparkling Akerselva River, and ask your host where to find the yummiest krumkake in town.

Our 4-hour tour in the (sometimes heavy) rain was a pleasure due to Neil’s knowledge & personalty. His breadth of knowledge allowed for focusing on our particular interests & his theater background brought history to life..

Sheena was amazing, very knowledgeable, kind and and cultural. We went to all parts of Oslo which you normally wouldn't know to go. Despite the weather being cold and snowy, she was able to cover a large portion of the city. We had a nice coffee break in the middle of the tour. I would certainly highly recommend her

Marianne is so personable and comfortable to be with. She is knowledgeable and shares lots of information, but does not make us feel like we are drinking from a fire hose. She even made a special stop to help one of us find an item in a shop! We enjoyed her company very much.

Marianne was an excellent guide and this was the perfect experience to have when I had limited time but still wanted to see Oslo. She was very thorough and had lots of fun history facts to share, and information I would have probable never found out otherwise. I am very grateful for this experience!

Two hours was the right amount of time for us to tour in February. We saw what we wanted to see and got an idea of where we wanted to go back later that day. Sheena was very nice and knowledgeable and we enjoyed our time with her. Would recommend to anyone who would rather walk than do a hop on hop off bus.
