One can expect to indulge in the lovely Italian cuisine, sip on local wine and roam around the cultural heritage of the city.
What I enjoyed most about Rome is its amazing architectures, paintings and definitely the canoli’s, oh wait all Italian food was great.
The churches are a must as well as the Colosseum which is now one of the seven wonders of the world.
There is so much history in the city and unmissable masterpieces.
Not forgetting the Vatican City; Vatican City is known for its religious and cultural sites, including:
- St. Peter's Basilica
- The Sistine Chapel
- The Vatican Apostolic Library
- The Vatican Museums, which feature some of the world's most famous paintings and sculptures.
The city is also known for hosting significant events, including papal conclaves, during which a new Pope is elected.
Rome definitely left a special place in my heart and what I loved the most about the city is that it is so easy to walk to places so hiring a car isn’t a must as everything is fairly close to each other.
The squares and flea markets are also a must go to if you into shopping
