There's something so enchanting about the hidden streets, the incredible architecture, and the surprises around every corner. Whether I'm on a bacaro tour, exploring a new art exhibition, or discovering a perfect spot for photos, Venice always amazes me. I know Venice Island, Venice Mestre, Murano, and Burano like the back of my hand. I'm also passionate about finding those magical views of the Canal Grande and discovering the best-hidden gems for food. I'm Maria, and I have been living in different places.

For this reason I consider myself very open minded and motivated to comunicate with people. I studied theater and pastry, I love art and food, and of course I love to travel and travelers. To travel is a very important moment or period in our life and for this reason I will try to help you having a great experience.

I was born about 30 minutes away from Venice, I moved there when I was a teenager and started working in tourism.

When I was 22 I decided to leave and I came back when I was 32. I lived in Malaga ( Spain ) for some years, then Florence, then onboard cruise ships, then Malaga again, Berlin, and finally decided to come back to Venice and started my own business - I am a freelance tour leader since 2014 and I wouldn't live anywhere else now, I love my city and my job!

I am originally from Turin, I lived in Portugal, Scotland, London but I decided to make Venice and Padua the places to live, fall in love, work and grow. I was born in one of the world’s most beautiful cities and eventually found my way to magical Venice, where I became a licensed tourist guide. I truly love what I do—meeting people from around the world, sharing the hidden corners of Venice, and bringing its history, art, and daily life to life through storytelling. I’ve traveled through Asia, America, and across Europe, and my background as a philologist means I have a deep love for literature, especially Russian and Italian classics. I even gave lectures in Zurich! With plenty of free time and a passion for culture, I’m always excited to show you around and help you see Venice through a local’s eyes.

I am a very enthusiastic and active student of Venetian University, with a huge love of Italian culture, food, wines, and entertainment.

My hobbies are photography, fashion, languages, history, and of course the art of going to aperitivos with friends… ;) while living in Venice for 3 years I learned Italian, found plenty of unique places, and just enjoyed Dolce Vita for its full. I am a really good orator and leader, love learning new things and meeting new people, always open and positive!! Know all the roads in this city! :)

Hello, my name is Vanessa, I am an Accompagnatore Turistico in the beautiful city of Venice.

I enjoy walking through the city along the bridges, and narrow streets and just enjoying the sights and beauty around me. If you are looking for a day of shopping, some of the best bar recommendations, or restaurants that will give you an authentic taste of Venice, I am your host. We can also explore small islands like Burano, Torcello, and Lido. Also, we can visit the surrounding areas of Padua Treviso, Stra, and Verona.

I was born and raised in the northern "Sestiere" (district) of Venice: Cannaregio. Since I was a child I've always been curious about different countries and cultures and I enjoyed studying foreign languages, so I chose to graduate in Literature and Foreign Languages and get a master's degree in Economics of Tourism, Arts and Foreign Languages at the University of Venice - Ca' Foscari. Meanwhile, I had the chance to travel as well: I visited the US and most of the European capitals, but I also spent some weeks in the UK, France, Spain, and Russia to study. My love for my hometown, Venice, has never decreased over the years though so I decided to start studying to become a tour guide. My "mission" is to show travelers my city from a local's perspective, sharing my passion and enthusiasm for my hometown with them, as only a local could do. This is why most of my tours are "off-the-beaten-track". I think that to see the real side of Venice it's necessary to walk far away from the crowds and from the touristy sites and walk through charming and quiet neighborhoods, looking for the hidden corners and peaceful streets of the city, where you can still feel the authenticity and the magic of this place. I love to focus also on local traditions, habits, and lifestyles today and in the past, to let you see how it feels like to be a local in Venice! I'd like travelers to feel at home here as if they were simply having a relaxing walk with a longtime Venetian friend!

I lived and studied in the Venetian province since I was 7 years old, and the years spent here made me both love and know Venice. After graduating in History, it became a passion for me to share the stories, the myths, the curiosities, and the little-known facts behind the Venetian streets and monuments. Also, I want to make you discover the quiet parts and the hidden gems in the Venetian labyrinth, away from the big crowds - personally, I love to explore the palaces where the aristocracy lived in the past. But in Venice, there's plenty of room for breaks and food, since I'll be happy to show you the best pastry shops, wine bars, and restaurants. As a guide, it's my mission to give you what an App can't: a mix of culture, art, local food, and stories at your pace, with no rush."

I love staying with people, I love Venice, its light, its Art, its Beauty, and I consider it a privilege to share it with people that really wants to understand and appreciate it. Venice is so beautiful and fragile, and I think that showing its real Beauty I will help people to respect it. Since my graduation in "Art History and Conservation of Cultural Heritage", in 2002, with a thesis on cultural aspects of the Venetian mainland, I have worked in educational programs of some of the major museums of Venice (Correr, Accademia Galleries, Doge's Palace, Peggy Guggenheim): I've worked with schools, families and groups of children, developing particular tours to explain art and history in an exciting way. I've led some special tours focusing on the discovery of the Lagoon and its nature, too, for children and adults. In the same years, as a journalist and an art critic, I have developed a special passion for Contemporary Art, and I have published reviews and small catalogues for several artists. In 2009 I gained the license to work as a professional guide in Venice, so I can now share my knowledge and passion for Art, History, and the wonderful city of Venice, with its fancy palaces and narrow streets, its dark sotoporteghi and canals, its unique history and nature. As a certified tourist guide I can bring you everywhere and explain you any sites and museums in Venice and in Veneto Region. I love food and wine, too, and I've created some itineraries for people that want to discover the traditional cuisine of my city. And, being Mum of two little and wonderful kids, I know how to comunicate the Beauty of Venice to the youngest ones. Having worked for so many years in Venice with different people of different age from all over the word, I have developed a strong attitude to problem solving: you will be in very good and expert hands!
