Hey there, I'm Ryan, your friendly local host in Kobe! In my downtime, you'll often find me sipping on local craft beers, exploring new flavors, and chatting with the friendly locals. And speaking of exploration, I'm an enormous hiking enthusiast. Kobe's mountains offer a treasure trove of trails waiting to be discovered. After a day of hiking, there's nothing like a relaxing soak in one of the local onsens. Sannomiya and Motomachi are areas I know, like the back of my hand. But I also have a soft spot for Rokko Island, Nada Ward, Uozaki, and the Rokko hiking trails. You could say I'm a bit of a Kobe guru when it comes to hidden gems. So, if you're looking for an unforgettable time in Kobe, count on me to make it fun and memorable. Let's explore this incredible city together!
Unfortunately, the weather was not conducive for much walking today, but under the circumstances had a super Duper wonderful day. Thank you very much.

During a cruise stop in Kobe, we met our guide, Ryan, following a brief taxi ride to the city center. The walking tour offered us a comprehensive overview of the city's center. The tour showcased the city's main attractions effectively, and Ryan made sure it was an unforgettable experience. Notably, Ryan was an American who had resided in Kobe for several years. He was an informed and engaging guide, well-acquainted with the city's landmarks, traditions, and culture.

We spent a day with Ryan, who was an excellent low-key guy focused on helping us do and see whatever we wanted in Kyoto. Our group of four had varying interests and physical limits and Ryan accommodated everyone. His knowledge of the area and its history was very helpful and kept us engaged and wanting to know more.

Great day out. Very different from a ship excursion, only the 3 of us and Ryan the guide. Saw much more, travelled and ate with the locals and no waiting for everyone to catch up. Great experience and a great guide.
