What travelers think of our Mexico City experiences
Alejandro was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Mexico City. We began with the history of the city, beginning at ground zero (where the historical, pre-Colombian) beginnings of the city origins. We visited an archeological museum, then Alejandro, went the extra mile to review additional archeological findings around town. Next, we walked through the colonial historical neighborhoods, and markets, all the while getting more architectual knowledge along the way. Alejandro was especially effective in connecting the historial city to its evolution into the modern city we see today, including the historical persons involved. Extremely thorough and comprehensive, I am so much smarter now, then I was this morning, before I went on the tour with Alejandro. Bring comfortable walking shoes - you'll get plenty of steps in!
Show moreNinelth gave us a wonderful tour of Diego’s and Frida’s house /studio, The historical spate of Mexico City and also we had a chance to visit the San Angel neighborhood where we got to buy beautiful drawing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful and informative historical background of the places we visited. We highly recommend this tour!
Show moreNinelth was such a wonderful guide! It was my first time in Mexico City on a one night layover. She took me around Coyoacan and explained the sights and history behind the neighborhood. In just a short visit I learned so much.
Show moreWe had a great time with Lando wandering around Condesa and eating delicious tacos. Lando then took us on the Metrobus towards downtown and sent us a bunch of recommendations for the rest of your day.
Show moreI could not have asked for a better introduction to Mexico City than Marisol’s hosted experience. She took the time to understand what I was interested in and tailored the day accordingly. I loved that she showed me a slice of the real Mexico, always ensuring I was comfortable and safe. Her knowledge of the history and architecture of Mexico City was very impressive, and her love and passion for her hometown shone through. The highlight of the day was when she arranged for a mariachi band to serenade me on my 50th birthday! It is a memory I will keep with me always! Marisol is a wonderful human and I really enjoyed spending time with her. I hope to catch her again in Australia, where I can play host!
Show moreLando is an excellent and knowledgeable guide who clearly has a passion for history and for Mexico City. He took us to many interesting places in downtown Mexico City and showed us and explained different buildings and architecture as the history of those places. We highly recommend Lando as a wonderful guide for Mexico City.

What you’ll do
Don your dancing shoes and get ready for a night out, Mexico City style! Head’s up, it’s probably going to involve a tequila at some point, so don’t say you weren’t warned! If your vibe sounds like a gritty, cantina type of party, you might want to head up to Centro. If you're into the high-life and classy cocktails, you're going to want to make a beeline for Polanco or Santa Fe.
The neighborhoods around San Angel and Metro Copilco also make excellent choices for mingling among a cool, younger hipster crowd. So many options. So what about a bit of everything? Then Roma or Condesa; where most of the bars and clubs in Mexico City are located, is the best bet. Begin your evening with a drink and a small appetizer, in a cozy Mexican pavement café or bar.
Whatever it is you’re after, whether it's a spot with a relaxed vibe, cool decor, and live music or an energetic, sweaty reggaeton or salsa club, your host will be sure to find you a suitable place worth checking out. Savor the last drops of daylight as you watch the sunset over the Mexico City skyline. One thing’s for sure, your evening will be one to remember, filled with beautiful sights and a few too many drinks and laughs, if you play your cards right.
