What you’ll do

You’ll follow your local Lisbon host as they lead you on a journey through Lisbon, and we guarantee you’ll soon see why locals adore their city and its laid-back way of life.

Forget fast-paced, money-making city living - you’re in Lisbon now! Of course, we’d be lying if we said you could discover all of Lisbon’s must-sees in just a day, but your host will share with you as much as they can of what makes their city so special.

Enticed by cosmopolitan cafe culture, stylish shops, and beautifully tiled squares, or is your vibe more medieval castles and off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods?

Let us know which of the city’s top attractions you’d like to see and we’ll try our best to make it all happen, but we’ll always recommend a trip to Belém where there are UNESCO World Heritage Sites to see and Pastéis de Belém to eat!

It goes without saying that our hosts have always got time for good food, so just let us know what you’d like to try, or let them recommend a spot you’ll love.

Play it really local with a lunch stretching over a few hours, where plates of sheep’s milk cheese, grilled fish, and jugs of sangria lazily appear or people-watch your way through lunch on the terrace of a hip Barrio Alto restaurant.

Ann Elisa was amazing! She gave us exactly what we were looking for with information about different neighborhoods, how daily life is here in Portugal and also added in bits of history and interesting places to eat and shop seamlessly into our experience. We felt like it was a perfect way to get the information we needed to make decisions about moving to Lisbon and we loved it! We highly recommend it!

Since I was new to Lisbon, I needed a host who was a familiar with the city and the tour routes. Ann had the knowledge and she often introduced me to places via shortcuts and alternate routes. She is very positive, attractive and fun. She is also a very good walker. I even called her "a military style guide." :) In the 6 hours experience I was exhausted from time to time but she was always ready to go more. For there are many hills in the territory of Lisbon, I thought traveller can be easily tired of walking. She is from Italy as written in her profile, but her English was fluent and correct and fun. ;) She is sociable and attractive. She will guide you to your style.

Our host Anna Elise met our family of three husband, wife and adult daughter just near our Lisbon hotel, for a delightful walking tour of the city. We were first-time visitors to Lisbon, and enjoyed our easy-going host as we talked about architecture, what brought her to Portugal and what she loves about the city and people. Our local host was happy to go wherever we wanted, and contacted us in advance to discuss our interests. We walked to the Prada do Comercio and along the cobble stone streets of old Lisbon. We took the cable car, and visited the Castle Sao Jorge, then on to several churches and the cathedral. We stopped near the cathedral at a lovely bistro called Audrey's Cafe for lunch. Afterwards we walked the historic district of Alfama looking at the different shops are artisan's wares. We ended at the Panteao National, tired but feeling like we had seen and learned quite a lot. We highly recommend the experience!
