Hi, I’m Mayu, your local host here in Hiroshima! What I love most about this city is its perfect balance between nature and urban life. In just a short drive, I can escape to beautiful natural spots, or I can take a stroll along the river right from the city center and really feel the changing seasons. The simplicity of Hiroshima’s main street, Hondori, is something special too; it’s a lively area that still belongs to the people of Hiroshima, and I enjoy sharing that local vibe. With my children, I often spend time at the city library, manga library, or nearby parks, and we love visiting events like the gyoza festival or outdoor music events at Hiroshima Gate Park. If you’re traveling with family, I know the perfect places where kids can have fun too, like the interactive science museum, where they can explore the simulator and diorama displays. I’m very familiar with Hiroshima’s Nishi-ku area and always keep an eye on family-friendly events around the city. I’d love to help you experience Hiroshima in a way that feels personal and relaxed!
