Well, I really enjoyed the city tour. It introduced me to many different parts of Kanazawa that I actually never would have visited myself. It felt very personal like and not a very rigid itinerary. Like I could stop to eat something, buy something..etc I really enjoyed this one.. And Megumi was really an amazing person.

My wife and I hired Megumi for a half-day tour of Kanazawa. Her English is excellent, and we found her to be fun, smart, and easy to be with. She took the time to get to know us as our day went on and was open to making changes in our itinerary that better suited our interests. We took a detour to the Zen museum which was fascinating; ate at a small, semi-hidden locals-only sushi restaurant within the Omicho food market that my wife and I could never have navigated on our own; negotiated with vendors to have prepared foods slightly altered to suit our preferences, etc. After we parted, Megumi got us a reservation at a wonderful yakitori restaurant that night (we were the only non-Japanese people in the place) which was fun, inexpensive, and excellent (they were expecting us when we arrived and made us very welcome). Megumi, having spent some time in the US, was able to help us bridge some hidden gaps in communication that opened up Kanazawa to us in a way that I am sure we would not otherwise have been able to experience. Lovely, competent, easy, on-time, excellent communicator, good sense of humor, kind: five stars all around.
