Hi, I’m Emilio, your friendly local host in Sapporo, a city I love for its relaxed vibe and family-friendly atmosphere. Unlike Japan’s busier cities, Sapporo offers plenty of space to explore, with beautiful parks and endless activities for all ages. When I’m not out with friends discovering new craft beer bars, you’ll often find me enjoying the city’s parks with my family. From the lively Sapporo City Center to the serene Maruyama Park area, I know the best spots to unwind, have fun, and soak in the local charm. As someone who loves great food and drinks, I can show you the best fish markets for fresh seafood and the coziest bars for savoring local craft beers. Whether you’re here for the flavors, the scenery, or just a good time, I’ll help you make the most of your visit to Sapporo. Let’s explore together!

My reviews

Emilio did research and was able to cater towards a gluten free diet. We had a great experience!

Wonderful tour, but especially wonderful guide! Emilio was very knowledgeable and helpful: good to improvise, he gracefully catered to our needs and preferences, as we went through the itinerary. High marks and recommendations!

The tour guide was considerate by providing his Whatsapp for contact in case I couldn’t find him… which I did initially because I was on the wrong side of the station. Nonetheless, it was a nice leisurely 6 hours. Took me to the places that I had not been to yet. I am hitting up the spots he recommended me today before I head home to LA tomorrow. Great job!

Emilio was a wonderful tour guide. He has lived in Sapporo for several years and knows the city very well. We started our tour at a wonderful fish market away from the heavy crowds. He introduced us to the subway and the fascinating underground city of walkways and stores. We also visited the top floor of a tall downtown building to get great panoramic views of the city. He then showed us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. All the while he spoke beautifully of the city, its people and what he loves most about Sapporo and what he finds challenging. He also shared his views of Japan in general and gave us advice on how to enjoy our trip going forward. Overall an A + rating for Emilio who we enjoyed very much. Thanks to Emilio and best wishes to him and his young family.
