Top Things To Do In Dublin Ireland

Dublin is the vibrant capital city of Ireland. Home to Guinness, The Temple Bar Pub, Trinity College, and Dublin Castle, this city is one you can’t miss out on. Rich with history, Dublin provides a variety of museums, brilliant Georgian architecture, historical landmarks, parks, bars, pubs, and much more!

Much of the city can be seen in a day, with landmarks and hidden gems within walking distance of each other you’ll be able to cover a big area of the city. So if you find yourself looking for a day out or weekend away, Dublin is the place to be!

Trinity College

Founded in 1592, Trinity College Dublin is Ireland’s oldest University! Located in the heart of Dublin city centre, the campus is open to the public, offering you the opportunity to stroll through the picturesque grounds. Key attractions at Trinity College include the ‘Sphere within Sphere’ sculpture, the infamous Book of Kells, and architectural gems. Whether you’re a prospective student, architectural lover or just love to explore, embarking on a stroll around the campus is a must!

Powerscourt Townhouse

A personal favourite spot of mine is the Powerscourt Townhouse. This hidden gem has a spectacular Georgian exterior and a vibrant interior comprises of shops, boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. Here, you get the chance to explore individually unique independent shops which offer art, antiques, fashion, and jewellery! Powerscourt Townhouse blends contemporary styles with historical beauty, providing the perfect spot for tourists in the heart of Dublin!

St Stephen’s Green Park

This scenic and charming public park presents visitors with a peaceful space away from the bustling city of Dublin. The park spans 22 acres with 3.5km of paths providing you with beautiful landscapes, fountains, and Dublin’s finest natural beauty. St Stephen’s Green Park is a popular spot for relaxation, recreation, and tranquility. Taking a moment away from the city is ideal if you need to refuel and recoup after exploring Dublin’s best locations!

The Temple Bar Pub

Situated right in the center of Dublin, this iconic and legendary venue offers a quintessential Irish pub experience. Its distinctive red exterior and rich history which goes right back to 1840, offer you the perfect location for an insta photo as well as a spot to take in the authentic ambience. The warm atmosphere, bustling energy, and live music will entice you inside and you won’t regret it! For me, The Temple Bar Pub is a must-visit and something to tick off the bucket list. So whether you buy yourself a pint or just listen to the live music sessions, this pub is a must on your visit to Dublin!

Guinness Storehouse

Guinness, usually the first thing which springs to mind when you think of Dublin Ireland, originates from the brewery of Arthur Guinness at St. James’s Gate. Whether you’re a beer enthusiast, a history lover or enjoy tourist attractions, the Guinness Storehouse provides a varied experience. Visitors have the chance to learn about the history and brewing techniques of Guinness, as well as, explore the immersive exhibits which will activate all your senses. My highlight of this experience is the Gravity Bar, on the top floor. Here you get a complimentary pint of Guinness (or soft drink), whilst soaking in the amazing panoramic views of Dublin. The Guinness Storehouse is a spot not to be missed with its immense history and modern interactive experience.
