Hi there! I'm Maurita, and I'm thrilled to share my love for the vibrant city of New York with you. As a local host, I can tell you that this city never fails to amaze me with its endless possibilities for adventure and excitement. The city's unique energy, a combination of many different cultures coming together to improve their lives, is what sets it apart from other cities and what I love most about it. When I'm not working, you'll likely find me checking out the latest art exhibitions at local galleries, having a picnic in one of the city's many parks or beaches, or exploring the city's rich history on a walking tour. I consider myself an expert in both art and immigration history, and I have a particular affinity for Manhattan's Lower East Side, Chinatown, Little Italy, East, and West Village, as well as Brooklyn's Williamsburg, Greenpoint, and Fort Greene. Great walking tour with Maurita, she was very knowledgable and took me to some very interesting sights in New York. The tour was tailored based on what I wanted to see and do. A really enjoyable afternoon. I would recommend Maurita and definitely book her again for another tour.

We had a great walking tour with Maurita on the afternoon of the day we arrived. It was a great way to familiarise ourselves with the city and have the opportunity to ask a local for any tips or advice we needed. Maurita contacted us before the tour and asked if we had any specific requests or interests and was flexible on the day. Would highly recommend it.

Great contact beforehand, Maurita was great at planning the day so we got to see so much! She’s helped us understand the subway & has given us the confidence we needed to be able to explore further alone over the coming days. She checked to make sure everything was going as we expected throughout the day. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide, if you want to cover lots of the city but in a relaxed way then city unscripted is the perfect personalised tour. Thank you Maurita for a fantastic day!
