I am Licensed Accompagnatore Turistico
I'm a professional tour leader, licensed to work in Italian, English, and Spanish. I'm 43 years old, and I started working as a tour leader for Italian groups (business and leisure tours) abroad when I was 18 years old. I'm living in Rome for over 20 years. I fell in love with the city of Rome when I was 21 years old cause it's an amazing charming city, the art, history, food, hidden gems, unexpected spots and neighborhoods...Rome has a lot to offer for whatever preference. I love leading tourists in my city, letting them discover all of the most interesting facets of the place and some enchanting hidden gems.
Massimo was a wonderful guide! Knowledgeable, great personality, and he had filled us with a lot of knowledge in the four hours that we were together.

Massimo was a fantastic guide and took all of our requests into consideration. We saw so many things we may have otherwise overlooked or missed walking on our own. Thank you Massimo for a wonderful introduction to Rome!

Rome is such an amazing city, so much history and culture! I was the only member of our family who had been to Rome in the past. For our first morning in the city, I wanted a private walking tour to get everyone oriented and excited about the next 4 days we'd be spending there. Our highly professional and personable guide, Massimo Avella, did not disappoint. He arrived at our hotel early and greeted us enthusiastically. It was his sincere wish to show us his beloved city with our particular interests in mind -- and not just history and culture, but also restaurant and shopping recommendations. He kept us entertained and informed throughout our 3 hours together, and when we had to say goodbye, left us wishing it didn't have to end so soon! Thank you, Massimo!
