The tour allowed us to have someone guide us between two major tourist sites so we could just enjoy. The best part is to learn about someone else’s life in Japan.

Afifa was our guide when we went in mid-September. She was very accommodating and hospitable. Due to a mix-up in platform instructions, we were informed of different meeting points, which resulted in us being almost half an hour late. Nonetheless, Afifa was very patient, told us to take our time, and still did the entire 3 hours of the tour. Even though she was not Japanese and had not been in Japan for very long, Afifa was quite knowledgeable. When she did not know the answer to a question, she also admitted that instead of trying to invent an answer. She was additionally very open about sharing her personal story as to why she was in Japan, which I thought was nice as I enjoy hearing about other people's backgrounds. Lastly, she gave us very good, practical "day-to-day" tips for traveling around Japan (e.g. how to get rid of excess coins, how to use the public vending machines). She did a great job and I would definitely recommend her as a guide to others.
