We both really enjoyed our trip to Kyoto which Michael made very special. We saw and learnt way more about Kyoto and Japanese life, history and culture than we could ever have done on our own. And we loved the lunch!

Great experience. Knowledgeable. With so many tourists in Kyoto, he saved us time by knowing the shortcuts to viewing the major attractions. He helped us find items we wanted to purchase. Planned out and very efficient. Well worth the money. It would have taken us hours more to cover the same ground on our own.

What a marvelous tour! Our guide Toga was knowledgeable, adaptable and charming. An absolute treat. Once he met us he shifted where we would visit and selected stunning, less crowded Temples that were more off the beaten track. His explanations were so interesting. The thousand Buddhas at the Sanjusangendo Temple (no photos but I bought a book and some postcards) were just amazing and the Zen Temple of Kennin-ji was serene and lovely. Togo made sure we had time to sit and be (and we managed to get up too:) Amazing. He then took us to a shopping street (we had asked) and he also showed us a number of vegetarian restaurants (i am a vegetarian) He explained where to flag a taxi. We took taxis all day today and it really took the pressure off.
