Hello! I'm Harun, your jovial and insightful host in the enchanting city of Kyoto. To me, Kyoto is a mesmerizing blend of old and new Japan, a place where every street, temple, and season tells a different story. As an amateur photographer, I find joy in capturing the city's soul, whether it's a bustling ramen shop in Gion or the serene beauty of Arashiyama. I spend my days exploring every nook of the city, from bustling Kawaramachi to tranquil Higashiyama, and I'm always eager to share my discoveries. With a deep love for food, I've got the inside scoop on everything from cozy traditional eateries to fine dining gems – all delicious, of course! Join me for an adventure in Kyoto, and I'll show you the city through my eyes – a place of endless discovery and charm. Let's explore the heart and soul of Kyoto together!

My reviews

Learn how to use local bike share without a Japanese phone. Austen followed our plans, but made everything simpler, easier, and quicker. Of course, all of our Viator guides were intelligent people and so pleasant to spend the day with.

It was a wonderful day that we spent together with Harun in the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and the surrounding area. We saw so many shrines and we were particularly impressed by the one with all the stone sculptures. Just like the ZEN garden and the other bamboo forests next to the big one. Recommendation: only one tour per day if you don't want to go over 20 kilometers. Harun is a very attentive and good guide who also responded to our wishes.
