I am a Tour Guide
Hi there! I’m Alex Before ending up in Japan, many years back, I had a nomad life across several Asian countries for many years as well. I spent most of that time in India, where among other activities I had my first experiences as a tour guide. There I also met my wife, and when the relationship got more serious we decided to settle down and have a more stable life, we chose Japan where she is from. Since then I had many personal experiences in this country in different fields such as human relations, jobs in different sectors, trips, bizarre situations, etc, experiences that I always like to share, together with some knowledge about aspects of the culture that I studied for years, just for the sake of getting knowledge without thinking that I would do this activity later on. By the way, I appreciate a lot the human factor, and besides having a responsibility I enjoy a lot just meeting and being with new people. In other words; I love this job, I love the culture I show, and I love human communication in itself. Let’s meet and spend time together so I can show you the best of this city, the cultural capital of Japan
Alex was a great host and very knowledgeable. We wanted a mixture of landmark temples and off the beaten track and he provided an excellent experience. He accommodated our needs by meeting us at our hotel and finishing our tour at the Imperial Palace. I would recommend Alex, he helped us cover a lot of ground in our 24 hours in Kyoto!

We had a great time with Alex. Although he is Argentinian, he is married to a Japanese woman and is very knowledgeable about the history of Japan, its culture, and its people. He made the experience in Kyoto fun for us and continued to answer questions we had during the rest of our trip to Japan, days after the tour we took with him. Highly, highly recommended!

Alex listed to our wishes, changed plans based on them, was fun, communicated well, was knowledgeable and navigated us to places with ease. Having a private guide is the way to go and reasonable for the enhanced experience.

Our guide Alex was great! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very enthusiastic about the history and wonders of Kyoto. Our private tour through very “off the beaten track” Gion was amazing. He educated us on everything from Shinto and Buddhist rituals, to Japanese architecture, and to the arts and culture of this historical city. I highly recommend this private tour for a unique, and personalized experience.
