Hi, I’m Ayako! I’ve always loved Kyoto, especially because it’s surrounded by beautiful mountains. One of my favorite views is from the Sanjo Bridge, looking out over the Kamo River. In the summer, the sound of the wind chimes at Heian Shrine is magical. In my free time, I like to play the ukulele by the riverside, and I often take peaceful walks in the forest at Shimogamo Shrine, followed by a visit to a famous shop for delicious rice cakes. I know Kyoto city, particularly the northern area, Uji, and Kobe very well. I’m passionate about Kyoto’s bakeries and cafes (with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options!), as well as both traditional and modern Japanese sweets. I also know some charming small libraries with cafés. I look forward to sharing my favorite spots with you!
