Hi, there I am Mi. The pronunciation is the same as "me". Hi there, I’m a young lady from Guangzhou, China. I have been living in the ancient capital of Japan, Kyoto for 7 years. I remember the first time I came to Kyoto as a tourist and Kyoto stole my heart away. It kinda gave me a feeling that I have been riding on a Time Machine called Kyoto and it brought me back to the ancient capital of China-those scenes I only got to see in Chinese historical dramas. Now I am a Ph.D. student and got to experience Kyoto as a resident so I believe that I can show you whatever aspects you are looking forward to seeing. Interested in the shire of rabbits? Want to get some of Kyoto's cutest omikuji( (sacred lot) fortunes? Explore the Izakaya(Japanese traditional bar) together. Or spend a chilled afternoon at a lovely Japanese traditional-style cafe? up to taste some Kyoto vegetables that Kyoto people are so proud of? simply walk along the Kamo-river and have a picnic together? Hit me up!
I had a private tour of the geisha or geiko district in Kyoto with Mi. She created a wonderful learning experience for me that was so interesting and full of information. Mi has perfect English and a deep understanding of the culture. Marvelous experience.

Excellent knowledge of the city culture and history. Very good English which can often be a barrier with guides in Japan.

Kyoto is amazing and my guide Mi was absolutely wonderful. Not only did she bring me to visit the places I wanted to go, she also served as my translator and we had great conversation about Japanese lifestyle and what it is like for a local.
