I’ve lived in Kyoto for 9 years
I speak English, Spanish, Japanese and some French
I am a Tour Guide/Travel Curator/University Staff
Hi! My name is Ada, I specialized in Japanese culture & came in 2013 to finish my studies, but I fell in love with the country so much that I decided to prolong my stay indefinitely. I just want to share my passion & the beauty that I see, and give back to society what it was given to me when I first arrived. I always wanted to become a tour guide, so I studied tourism in Spain. I have been working in the tourism industry till covid times arrived, when I shift to Kyoto University where I have been assisting international students and in my spare time organizing activities and trips for them to immerse in the culture. Let's make great memories!
Very refreshing to have a guide with in-depth historical knowledge. When she found out one of us was an artist, she took us to visit a private artist’s atelier and we learned a great deal about one of Japan’s traditional crafts. It was the highlight of our stay!

Loved the stories and tons of interesting facts. My guide even recommended the place to have lunch after the tour and it was exceptional.

Ada was very knowledgeable about Japanese history and culture. She also went out of her way to make dinner reservations for us, which was very kind!

Ada was so easy to work with and really showed us a locals view of Kyoto while doing her best to incorporate everything we asked for. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Kyoto and was helpful in recommending restaurants.
